Why is he no longer doing the commentary for radio nottingham?

I *think* he is on holiday - I recall him taking a couple of weeks off during the season last year, and then he came back (not sure why he can't take his holidays in the off-season, like the rest of us!)

Unlike his stand-in David Jackson, I think Colin is a Forest fan and at least puts some emotion in to the commentary, David Jackson is like listening to the shipping forecast on Radio 4!

Well yes, he commentates on their games - so funnily enough he is familiar with their former players, and two of them scored today (Hamshaw and Baptiste)

I like Dave's commentary, although he was a bit off form today (only caught the second half). I am also incredibly biased as he's a good mate of mine

but maybe (as he's holding a microphone) that it was work-related! It does say he's from Arnold, so maybe he *is* a red!

Amen to that! Darren Fletcher and Larry Lloyd formed a great partnership that went on to be reformed at Century 106. I used to love Lloyd's phone-ins on weekday evenings which I recall were advertised on the backs of buses with the slogan, 'He's talking balls!' ;D Unfortunately, certain members of the Nottingham public decided that this advertising campaign was 'inappropriate' and so it had to be replaced.

I don't think David Jackson has done a bad job from the few little bits I've heard of him in the past few games ...

Colin Fray will always be a legend to me, for *that* moment on the 3rd May 2008, I get goose bumps everytime I hear that moment ;D

I presume Colin is back for Derby? He wouldn't want to miss that I'm sure, especially after missing the cup game (allthough given what happened I'm sure he's gutted :)

It felt like I was one of the first people in the ground out of my seats, as JMC stopped talking, I just knew what CF was going to say and just jumped up like a madman with everyone within four rows of me asking me what was going on, looking at me and some even trying to grab my radio ;D

It might seem weird, but that was without a doubt the best moment of my Forest following life.
