when do we expect our first signing?

not sure when a player can become officially signed but when do you reckon we'll hear of our first agreed signing? how long would it take before we all get restless ? :nowink: i know we're not even in june yet but it'd be nice to hear some good news within the next fortnight.

who knows. Earnie was announced roughly this time last year, and with all the talk in the papers and the OS about our targets, you would hope things will start to be announced within the next couple of weeks.

Billy is no fool and will want these players signed up asap. I guess we will just have to play the waiting game for now though!

I would assume that the players are on hols so maybe a week or two.

To be honest I am nervous about this whole signings business, so many summers' of disappointment have left their mark. I am more optimistic with Billy in charge though.

In his interviews he seems confident to have a couple wrapped up within weeks. He wants to keep the spirit up at the club and knows these will add to the optomism !

I think over previous seasons it has been obvious that no early signings tends to get fans nervous as we hurtle towards the pre-season. He has opened talks allready with clubs. The man doesn't seem to want any time off work or a holiday lol

Billy is ambitious alright and he knows that getting Forest back in the Prem would both make him a legend here and raise his stock 1000%! In short its a great opportunity to succeed where so many others have failed.

Agree, this is one of the few clubs that someone can really make a name for themselves ! The idea of former european champions being established back in the Premiership is a fairy tale, and after varied views on him it is no doubt a challenge he will relish !

I am glad to hear he seems to not want time off, the mark of a true professional :tophat:

I can honestly see us going places with King Billy as our manager :)

It'd be nice to have all new signings wrapped up for the start of our pre-season training.

 you'd think this would be the plan. KB (King Billy ;D ) is always going on about continuity and how certain teams have been together for a long time, so hopefully we can give this lot the best possible chance to gel and full understand each other

I think that announcing a signing like Earnie at the start of the summer sends a message about the prospects for the coming season and makes other players think more seriously about signing. It would be great if Billy could wrap up one of our top targets early on and hopefully the others will follow.

Not an expectation, as such, but I'd like to think we'd announced someone by the end of this month.
