zigga-zagga
Viv Anderson
Now, I love my daughter dearly and have put up with her bringing some dross home as boyfriends in the past but this latest offering is testing my patience.
He insists that Billy Davies's team don't play attractive football and, even when forced to admit that we do sometimes, he say sometimes it is for 20 minutes and then we go back to playing the ball sideways. He agrees with me when I say I would rather see my team win 1-0 every game than win half and lose half but still thinks that Billy Davies is rubbish.
Now here comes the rub - he is a Baggies fan! He admits that we outplayed them and should have won earlier in the season but still refuses to accept that a Billy Davies can play football.
I could simply put it down to the fact that he is a Baggies fan (and season ticket holder), or that he is a semi-pro goalkeeper (we all know that they are crazy) both of which mean he deserves pity rather than condemnation.
What should I do? He is way past redemption. I could throw my daughter out and consequently never have to see him again. I could just ban him from the house, but that may cause a few problems with my daughter or I could continue with my attempts to re-educate him and show him a brighter future. Alternatively I could put it down to the fact that he is an arsehole who knows nothing about football and just ignore him.
He has to relocate to our area and he has decided that the only place he wants to live is in the next village on a new development called The Hawthorns!
