what was going on yesterday

as billy davies wasnt there last night, who picked the team because it was so shite, one of the worst teams for ages. gunter on the right wing, chambers in for majewski, your having a laugh? gunter and anderson were 10 yards apart for half the game, and bringing off the two top goalscorers with 15 mins to go is absolutely ridiculous.
hope to see him back soon.

id have took a point before the game, but the back 5 picks itself this season, everytime. camp, gunter, morgan, wilson, shorey. nothing should change that

I think thats our style of play away from home, we normally have Garner on the right wing, or start with Adebola and McGoldrick upfront.

Aslong as we don't lose I don't care how we play.

Just think of the positives, 12 games unbeaten, 1 point closer to Westbrom, a clean sheet and unbeaten away since April.

Is this the same Rangers that are so skint that they cannot offer their current manager a contract?

Their current manager is Scottish though, he's working for as much cheap cider as he can drink.

I agree that we shouldn't have played Gunter right wing. We seemed to lack that spark in Midfield and personally I thought Cohen had a pretty poor game in the middle of the park, stupid tackle after tackle although some the ref gave were a bit harsh.

Last night seemed to be one of those nights that the team just didn't get going. This wasn't helped by Sheff U's hoofball tactics along with wind and rain. As for Dexter and Earnie, whilst I am 100% in agreement that these two should start, I don't think Dexter did much.

There were 3 lads next to me who slated Adebola when he came on. I had a rant back explaining that Dexter hadn't done much so they continued to give abuse to Adebola on every touch. Then they have the cheeck to moan that we needed to get behind the team! They didn't have a clue! Adebola comes on for one reason only, to hold the ball up. Whilst he didn't do that when he came on, again the pitch was awful and in all fairness we weren't playing great.

I'd have taken a point before the game and we still march on! Up the mighty reds! And one final word, thank God for Lee Camp. I counted 5 cracking saves he made to keep the score at 0-0!

Just because we haven't gone out and smashed another team all of a sudden someone has come out and started to criticise !! That's absolutely ridiculous !!

Even the best teams in this country don't play well every game, I think the mark of a good team is getting results when you don't play well.

We are closer to West Brom at the top in what is a very tight division, we are still unbeaten away and on this mini run and surely we are exceeding expectations as to our league position and general performances. I dread to think what the reactions will be if we lose and then drop out the playoffs for a few weeks. By my count that's only the 2ND 'poor' performance of the season, the previous years we would have folded and got spanked.

Lets put things in perspective and get a grip please.

I cant believe the moaners in this thread. FFS we are un beaten 12 on the bounce and here you are slating the f**king team. Jesus get a grip.....

YES the performance was poor in stages last night but we got a good point out of it. We had some great chances and so did they. Camp saved our ass with some brilliant saves......I would have taken a point before the game and i am very happy with the point after the game.

According to the website Billy was ill last night.

What it does show is why Kelly is an assistant and not a manager in his own right. Even though Billy probably picked the team I would guess that Kelly 'ran the show' at Sheffield.

In fairness, the team selection was off last night.

Chambers, by his own admission, is a terrible right back. I think we'd have been better putting Gunter at RB and Chambers on the right wing if we were short.

Where's Garner?

Why not play Ando on the left and G McC on the right?

We had no need to put square pegs in round holes last night.

I'm not criticising the side, we're unbeaten in 12 games, something to be proud of, and came away from Sheffield with a point. However, that point came because of Camp. Nobody would have predicted the side that went out yesterday, which is either a sign of injuries or a sign that something was just off. Either way, I will never understand putting someone into right back who isn't very good there, whilst playing your right back, who is very good there, in a position he's also not very good in.
