What role will Moussi play next season?

With all the rumours about more midfielders coming, especially central defensive holding ones, what role does Guy Moussi have next season? Assuming he's now back fully fit, will he be a starter? Will it be a case of rotating McGugan, McKenna (if on the way), Moussi and Cohen (unless Cohen to stay out left?) ?? We all thought the Moose was to be great when he arrived. How do we see him now?
 
Moussi will play whatever role he wants to. Billy Davies doesn't pick him...he picks when he wants to play.
 
It all depends on how they all do pre-season. I can see any of those mentioned players playing very regularly, but equally they can't all play week in week out. I think Moussi has the required potential, he looks technically sound but his positional play and tactical awareness (and fitness) was often lacking when he came back after being injured. He needs time to settle into the side, learn his position and kick on from there.

So in summary, i don't think anyone really knows just yet.
 
If he gets a good pre-season under his belt. He will easily be pushing for a regular starting place.
 
All depends on who is brought in, if we get McKenna I'd imagine Moussi will spend most of his time keeping the bench warm.
 
I imagine Moussi will have some part to play in the season , Billy will likely rotate the players around to keep them fresh. (as long as Perch is kept off midfield)
 
potentially a fully fit moussi alongside mckenna could be awesome, didn't Davies suggest a while back that he was unsure about whether he was a defensive midfielder and with his overall attributes he could be more of an all rounder? eg more goals/attack minded. either way i'm sure if he gets a full pre season and stays fit he'll play a significant role for us next season.
 
He'll play the holding role, but no one will have a clue what's going on.

Indeed :D

I imagine he and McKenna (assuming he signs) will rotate the holding role, Cohen and McGugan will rotate the other central midfield role. You could throw Perch in there as another part of the holding midfield rotation but I have a feeling he'll end up at RB.

The thing I most hope is that Billy doesn't sell Moussi this summer, the lad started well then had his season ruined by injury, he deserves a chance to really show what he can do.
 
If he has a preseason like he did last season then he'll be a starter, he was very, very good against Everton, switching with that Stephen Hughes was it?

on subject tho, i think it would be a crime if we didnt sign mckenna, as moussi can step into that role with ease.

How many championship games have you seen Moussi play?
 
saw his first games of the season, until the injury.

then when he came back against reading he was immense.

agreed in some games he hasnt been great, but if he gets a good pre season under his belt then he can play there IMO.

would prefer somebody with a proven track record in the CCC, Each to there own.......

no you see i wrote GAMES a s aplural, so i saw his first games until he got injured. Then saw the Readin game, then southampton at end of the season.

yer i agree with des, McKenna is proven and Moussi isnt, so if McKenna did sign i would rotate the two if one isnt playing particualry well.
 
The pre season against sunderland i was very impressed with his passing and thought he had the making of a awsome midfielder and still think he could be.... heres hoping :)
 
u really cant help but feel those spectacular performances before he got injured were'nt fluke.

Get him on top of his game, give him some clarity as to what his role is exactly..
and then Here's to hoping, yes..
 
It never occured that he didn't actually realise what role he was supposed to fill, and BD has identified that ! He obviously has talent. I think he'd be better sat at the back spraying round passes and breaking up opposition attacks, as he did so impressively against Reading on his debut !
