Right, this will be my last knowledge share with you guys as I've agreed to become Newcastle's new unofficial media punter. The fee was more than what James Perch went for, that's how highly I was valued. Anyway, as I was saying...
There's been a shock revelation that Doughty/Hanson co are financially insolvent. The news is totally out of the blue - only Doughty, Arthur and Terry the kit man currently know what this means for the club, but basically, we're financially f**ked.
So with regret, I must inform you all to expect a firesale. Camp, Blackstock, Earnie, Wilson, Morgan all set to leave. We should, repeat; should, be okay in the long run, as combined with selling off our top assets we're also going to start a deforestation process and sell the wood to merchants and £9.82 a pop.
The worst news though is that Billy is set to jump ship, drowning his sorrows, with David Platt being rumoured to replace him after his last short but succesful tenure at the club.
So where does that leave Shorey, Pratley, Whittingham, Rindarodosonaskiki et al?
Unfortunately for us, they won't be coming. The club are holding back the news of this and our financial plight combined until the season ticket sales have stopped running so gullable people like you, who will no doubt be very angry at this news, still part with your hard earned cash. Shocking huh?
For those of you who will renew/get a new season ticket, Platt has already lined up potential replacements, all of whom will be on free transfers - we can't have it any other way I'm afraid.
Waldo Ponce, a Chilean defender, is set to replace Kelvin at the heart of the defence, Bongo Christ from Congo will replace Dex as target man and finally, Mir Dickhaut, a free scoring German, will be Earnie's replacement.
It's all pretty glum news to be honest, especially since we were all looking forward to Pratley, Shorey and Majewski in the Garibaldi, but one positive aspect coming from Mark Arthurs urethra is that Forest and the City Ground will continue to be the main hub of Women's football for the foreseeable future. We're getting around £6bn a year for the privilege, but the FA have demanded we paint the Trent End pink in order to honour Women's ball skills, which we've agreed to do. We all know it needed a paint job anyway.
All this is fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact so please don't shoot the messenger, it's extremely easy to in times of austerity.
Feel free to discuss within this thread, but please don't mention my name (Robin Comensens for those that don't know me) outside of here as I could get in trouble from my mum.
