I've emailed West Brom and asked them if theres any concerns with Friday night's game at The Hawthornes and they replied that there are no plans in calling the game off. ;D

That's good news. Considering the Manchester Derby was called off yesterday

The Hawthorns is actually on the A41 within a few hundred yards off the M5 so I can't see any reason that the approaches won't be clear.

I imagine West Brom will have an army of volouteers to clear snow as they will not want to lose the TV cash

The west midlands in general isn't too bad for snow, I guess it's whether it freezes or not, then the approaches to the ground will be 'hazardous' to attending supporters. I live in Warwickshire and we've had 2-4 inches snow, maybe there is a red closer to West Bromwich that can give us a more accurate picture.

I am going to central Birmingham this afternoon so I'll have a better idea then although I have spoken to some of our guys on site who reckon that the conditions are much better today than they have been in the last couple of days

Cov also have around 2-4 inches of snow, Birmingham apparently have a fraction more but the main roads (motorways) are fairly clear its just the minor roads that could cause the problems but thats mainly around housing estates. I believe the forecast is for more today but then thursday and friday to be clear however the temperatures wont be lifting above about 1c.

I would imagine the game will be ok.

Hi guys the weather down here in the West Midlands was awful yesterday didn't stop snowing! Roads were clogged up and it was pointless going out due to the side road. The main roads are fine I made it to Birmingham that said.

Today all the school's are shut, however it seems to have warmed up and rather than turning to ice the side roads have gone to slush so all being well we should be game on!!!

Checked the bbc weather for Friday and atm they have predicted light snow showers for Friday night, but I'm sure the baggies will have under soil heating from their prem days so I think we will all be there.

UUUUUUUU REEEEEEDS!

Let's not forget that the Hawthrons is the highest ground in the country, so if there is anymore snow on the way for the West Midlands then West Brom is gonna get it and it doesn't really matter what the roads are like six mile away in the valleys of Brum.

And I thought it was Boundary Park. Well done that man, having checked this out, I shall add it to my store of useless information. :)

Feeling very nervous about this game. The longer it goes that we dont lose away the more Im worried that its set up to lose to Derby.! I dont think I could cope with them bleating that they were the ones to stop us in our tracks. Please God let the weather be so bad Derby day that they cancel and call in the pools panel. Then we would deffo get a draw. Do they still do that?
