Billy said he had a minor groin strain but its touch and go for saturday.

Do you want to touch Wes' groin and go?

he looked fine walking off to me, probably not injured at all :D
Billy signalled to Wes a good 10 minutes before he went off, make of that what you will

Even if he is injured, the way we're playing...I'd have faith for Chambers or even Perch to take his place and us not miss a beat!

He looked like he was struggling abit not long before he went off.

When he went off he seemed ok so hopefully it was just a precaution.

Even if he is not fully fit for Saturday I would have full confidence in Chambers to come in and do a good job in Wes' absence.

I love Wes, I hope he's fit and scores against Derby.

Chambers has been decent enough at centre-half this season though. He's also pretty handy attacking corners, chips in with a few goals.

100% will play Saturday.

It's on the OS that he might not make it in time which means no doubt he'll line up in the starting 11.

Wes went to clear a ball near the touchline and landed a bit awkwardly, looked to me that's when he did whatever he did and he came off a few minutes after that.

In fairness, that because wes looked like he hurt himself and was limping around. I saw billy ask if he was ok, and wes gestured back with a no and indicated he needed to get off straight away. He also went straight down the tunnel :(

I hope hes okay, and is fit for the game. He was great last night...again

i sit front row halfway line main stand,,and get to hear/lipread whats being said..the physio's were trying to get Wes off for about 10 mins as a precaution to further injury, and Billy jestured 'head before heart' to Wes,who didnt want to come off at all...think he will be ok,but i think Billy will play a few derby day mind games untill the team is announced on Sat.

A bit like when Earnie was 'injured' then appeared for the Leicester game (I think it was that one)!

No wonder my post count..
If we pretty much kept QPR in their own half for a lot of the game, losing Wes might not be as brutal as first thought.

It would be a loss if Wes had to sit it out, however, against Derby's lacklustre attack, Chambers should be able to cope. Like someone else said, Chambers is a bit more of an attacking force than Wes, so should be handy at corners.

Pity we may have to be 2 defenders down on saturday though. Derby will undoubtedly look to attack the left back position in the absence of a proper left back.

Derby players will be up for it like it's ther cup final. The last time Chambers played against Derby , he gifted them a goal , no thanks. We need Morgandinho back to stamp his foot on commons.

The OS ses that Wes has played every minute of every game. Didnt he miss Watford away or am i imagining it?

I think you're right - he missed a game over the Christmas period through tonsilitis.

Maybe the OS means in all the games he's played, he's played every minute? (i.e he's never been subbed off, or been used as a sub)

Yeah thats what they probably meant.

They wrote: The reds face an anxious wait to discover whether Morgan, who before last night had played every minute of every league game this season, will be fit for Saturdays trip to the sheep shagging bastards

I really hope he's fit, with him and Shorey out of the back four it becomes more of a makeshift defence. I have every faith in Chambers and Perch for every game, but this is the scum away and I want everything to be perfect ;D

We didn't have Shorey at LB when we beat them in August, and if I remember right, both of their goals were lucky deflections from 20 yard shots.

We put 3 past West Brom away, there's no reason we can't do the same (and more) at Derby.
