and we should use him as a stepping stone.

No one person is bigger than NFFC. Brian Clough wasn't and Billy Davies certainly never will be.

Managers will always come and go. Who's to say that in 2 years time we might have MON in charge?

The Sheep shaggers did warn us. my mate (a sheep) has been warning me since day one.

Personally the way I see it is that he's saying the play-offs are a stepping stone to the top flight.

I think that's what he meant too. Or that managing in the Championship was a stepping stone to the highest level, which it is if you get promoted. It doesn't mean he wants to go to Celtic lol

After promotion, we'll have to look really carefully at two things .......
1. is the quality of our present playing staff
2. is the quality of our manager.

You see, it works both ways.

It's bloody obvious that's what he meant. Some people are too paranoid about things going well. Worry about him f***ing off if he does so, enjoy him being successful with us while he's here because he's been nothing but since he arrived.

since the question was about the play-offs then that's what i'm going with too... there was nothing in the interview to suggest he wanted to be anywhere else but with forest in the premiership

He didn't say Forest are a stepping stone at all, clearly taking about the Play Offs.

A 'stepping stone' to the Premiership

Yuppers. The stepping-stone is the playoffs, not the club.

Forest are not a stepping stone, nor are they a Stevie Stone, a Sharon Stone, or a Steptoe & Stone.
