To be honest though he can't complain if the board says to him he can't have anyone. He keeps saying he wants to consolodate mid table. They'll probably say well done, you've done it, you can't have any more money.

He let four players go a couple of weeks back, enough wages I guess for two half decent loanies. He'll be mad if he gets nothing.

Well as a Forest fan himself I sincerely hope Doughty is not thinking that and would want to be pushing the club on now we're in an excellent position and wants to strengthen,unfortunately easier said than done in this window .

I doubt the Chairman would think that way; he's a bright guy, and will obviously know the possible financial rewards from a crack at the Premier League.

But you're right, bargains are not to be had in January; I would rather the club get a couple of good players in on loan (maybe with a view to a permanent deal "if" we went up).

I wouldn't expect any signings with our board faffing about. Nor at the beginning of the loan window. I think you need to loan later if you want to consider the pray offs.


On the bright side though. Look at the difference our loan signings made last season. 8)

It doesn't work that way , loan window only opens a week after the transfer window closed.
