I love the Yam Yam talk. I thinks it originates from English but I wouldn't put money on it. Look here but you might need an interpreter for some of it :ph34r:

It's similar to Cockney or Scouser, but for someone from the Black Country.

It's certainly used pejoratively.

Interestingly, it doesn't apply to Brummies, as they aren't in the Black Country, yet for some reason A Block did the same 'Yam Yam Yam Yam' chant last week.

Ha ha. Its similar to calling us "Notts Forest". It really winds Brummies up hen you call them Yam Yams.
