Leeds are showing their game today with Milwall live through their website LUTV in certain countries; is this how it should be for overseas supporters to feel more involved with their respective clubs or is it just another way for corrupt chairmen to fleece more money out of their fans

btw it a fiver to watch the ppv game
 
I don't see how this could be construed as corrupt chairmen trying to get more money out of fans. I see it as just giving you another option to watch your team, but I agree I wouldn't want it at Forest, as we don't have the same following as Man U or Chelsea etc, I think once you can fill your stadium every week, thats when you should have something like this :).
 
i'd pay a fiver to watch my team on ppv, it could be a good idea for away games that alot of people can not get to.
 
I'd rather pay a fiver to have it on a big screen (as in JumboTron, not 42 inch) at the City Ground, personally...

Isn't it a bit daft, though, that you can watch live Premier League (& other) football at 3pm on a saturday online & on tv in EVERY country in the world, except this one....
 
This is a very good idea, and something NFFC should trial.

What I would say though is that it should only be for away games. There are many circumstances of which many people can't get to away games e.g Finances, Location or demand for tickets (Derby) and this would allow more people to watch them when on the road.

It is extremely daft. I couldn't believe it when I was in Malta & could go from bar to bar with all of them showing a different game!

Indeed. I met some Americans while I was in South Africa who said they love the Premier League because you can sit down at 12.30 on a Saturday and watch a game followed by one at 3 and one at 5.30. Every game is shown live so it's up to you which you watch.
 
just a shame half the countrys net is that **** it would be buffering longer than it takes mckenna to pick out a red shirt
 
I'm very surprised how much more football we show on TV over here, than in England. Today we can chose between 13 games, among those 13 they're showing 5 PL games & 2 Championship games.
 
I don't think there should be too much football available in the UK on TVs, as it might further discourage attendance figures.
 
I wouldn't know how it would work in the UK, but the Norweigan TV channel TV2 totally revolutionized the Norwegian top league. Much more commercial focus on the league, and the crowds went up. Now allmost every team in the top league have new modern stadiums (bowls :) ), so I don't buy the thought of a game being on TV would prevent regulars going there.

If you can set up a private stream for me mate i will pay £7.50 per sky channel per day :)
 
We don't have Sky over here... only licensed football pubs are allowed to have Sky.
Canal Digital & Viasat have probably bought the rights to send the matches from SKY though...?! Don't know :)
 
£240 for a "online season ticket" I bet quite a few would pay it. TBH I probably would put money towards someone else's so I could watch all the away games
 
That's a helluva a lot of money. If it worked out at about £5 per match it would be £230 so maybe if an online ticket was available for £200 or a bit less then people might take the option.
