WAR CRY

OK then people lets for once make the city ground the most intimidating place we possibly can lets never stop bloody singing no matter what happens lets stay behind the reds, and scare the sheep into silence instead of getting on the players backs lets get behind them and see if we realy can lift there young heads and roar them onto beating the sheep. It really isn't hard either theres enough fans on here who sit in all areas of the ground and It only takes one person to start singing to get the crowd going so for a change when the going gets tough and we ain't playing well and are under the cosh lets not sulk and go quite lets sing our bloody hearts out and actually try and lift the lads.

Original post this one. 190067 this year that I can remember about this type of . You are a younger fan Than I, I ask you to ensure that that the chants are original and funny, that is what gets the ground rocking, not the usual dirge produced nowdays

it might not be original and yep im only 30 years old so only been a forest fan for 20 years but it anoyed the hell out of me the other night in the fa cup when the sheep out sung us at times and lets be honest with a capicity crowd this shouldnt be happening. to often we let away fans get into there stride and then they end up lifting there team.

Always likely to happen though, all the enthusiastic vocal support concentrated in one area, especially visitors at Forest where the acoustics of the Bridgford End give visiting fans an advantage. It is always the Chicken and the Egg Syndrome, who should motivate who............the team or the crowd?

Noble sentiments, unrealistic expectations - we only have to go with the cup game for how things can/will be - if we're on the up, the atmosphere will be great, if they are, it won't.

The trouble is, the small number of people in the Upper Brian Clough who do try to get any songs going simply get given filthy looks.

Our ground is poor for an atmosphere.

For a football ground where I sit you would think we were all dead!!!!

We should bring back the chant of going around the stands to give us a song.

Trent End, gives us a song, Trent End give us a song.. and when as usual there is silence, at least from where I sit we Boo.
Clough Upper gives us a song... boo..
A-block ... yeah....

If we go 3 or 4 nil down, like we probably will, we should have a bit of fun and start the wave :D Always makes me laugh that.... A block start the wave!

Trust me, it takes more than one person to get a part of the ground singing.

Me and the Foghorn sit in T5 and sing all the time, and I think those on here who have been with us / sat near us at away game will attest to us being quite vocal. Does the upper trent get noisy? Does it bollocks - not for the want of trying though.

anyone remember how bad the booing was for collymore on his return, commons has got off lightly compafred to the old days, also our best season in the prem was when we had lower bridgford, maybe its time to petition the club once again over having lower bridgford for home fans or at least a portion of it. give away fans the corner near a/block so there not ussing the car park entrance.

That wont work as the coaches will be the opposite side of the ground and they'd have to walk all the way around to the Main Stand Car park.

The simplest would be as per the old cup games when we gave them the Clough Lower Tier where they could be blinded by sun or drenched when it rains!

The City Ground is hardly a cauldron of fury, but you will struggle desperately to find a ground that is much louder.

At the very least Forest fans have some original songs and a couple of pockets where noise levels are consistent. Almost every ground in League One was extremely poor in terms of atmosphere, and that was despite the Forest game usually drawing one of the biggest crowds for each opponent.

In the Championship the stadia is a lot easier on the eye, but in most cases it's even easier on the ear.

Birmingham, Preston, QPR, Palace, Wednesday, Coventry, Doncaster, Barnsley, Blackpool, Charlton - all fairly polished grounds with almost no atmosphere to speak of.

Clubs like Wolves, Sheffield United, Bristol City, Cardiff and D*rby are better than the above but not really better than the City Ground.

This is off the top of my head.
