Walking in a Forest wonderland...

It's a good time to be a Forest fan. I can't remember the last time it was.

I can't remember the last time that, when meeting someone who asked if I like football and who I support, that I didn't feel a slight twinge of embarassment when replying 'Forest' and yet it's gone, replaced by a feeling of pride.

I also can't remember the last time that I didn't feel disappointed at the attitude of the Forest players, that I didn't feel like they really wanted to do well for the club and for us, the fans. I can't remember the last time that I was desperate to be at every single game we play.

I can't remember the last time that I had absolute faith that the manager was the absolutely right man for the job.

Yet, right now, I feel all of those things.

So, I'd just like to say a big thank you to every single person at the club. We've been through hard times over the past few years, but the good times make it all worthwhile.

Please let it carry on!

One thing to mull over in this thread. Is there any way this could be a flash in the pan? I suppose we might get done over by injuries, otherwise, why shouldn't we carry on like this?!

Possibly...however, I'll balance this against the fact that we didn't even show any flashes in the pan last year...progress is good!

Tell you one thing that could cause problems, complacency. But BD seems to have his eye on that one.

Today I strolled in to meet my colleagues with a big smile of satisfaction on my face, being told how good we are doing in the league.

This is the thing that is bugging me about Tuesday. How many games in recent years have we gained a fantastic result at the weekend, followed by a dark, horrible dire loss in midweek whilst in League 1 ? I know it's Billy and he won't let them get complacent, but after so many highs followed by real lows, it's hard not to half expect it !

I felt so proud the day we were promoted to the championship, i can remember walking down Lincolns waterfront in my Forest shirt and a beaming smile on my face was very proud. Last did knock it out of me a little but i shall always be a proud Forest fan, just makes it much easier when your nearer the top :D
