Lewis McGugan has been crowned PFA Championship Fans' Player of the Month for October.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder scored three times during the month, including a stunning 35-yard free-kick against Ipswich that took his goal tally to seven from eight games.

McGugan topped a supporters' poll on the PFA website to land the accolade for the first time in his career.

He will be presented with the award at a forthcoming home game.
