Was a bit muted today. Heard the Trent End pipe up briefly in the second half, can't normally hear that end at all.

By the time I got home, I'd almost lost my voice (not an unusual thing on a Saturday evening) so I must have been yelling about something!

I think the crowd was muted because the game was a really knife-edge and the 25000 was very nervous and skeptical of today's outcome.

My issue with Forest Chants, is that they are very short, nothing that keeps going for long.

Everything is a couple of bursts then fades..

We could do with a chant we could keep going.

When we scored that goal the ground nearly collapsed! I sat in T3 singing my heart after that goal which could turn out to be the most important goal of the season like Blackstock's winner against Brizzle last season!

The atmosphere yesterday was dreadful, the game wasn't inspiring enough to get people worked up.
Think the goal proves the point, it was a joy to be involved with such emotion and the games frustrations and such relief coming out of everyone.

It might seem almost impossible but the stewarding situation in VC over recent weeks has almost incredibly got worse. The last 2 home games I've counted 10 people chucked out, and that's just in VC corner. Every 5 minutes it's, "can you sit daaaarn please" on a relentless basis.

I love supporting Forest, I love singing about Forest, I love the atmosphere that can be created in that part of the ground but my god, I despise those bloody stewards.

Billy Davies keeps saying that the crowd needs to get behind the team, it sometimes seems impossible the way the club is intent on keeping us sat on our chairs with our mouths shut.

I was wondering if anyone had an address/email to contact Billy Davies? I was thinking of writing a letter to him about the issue.

That's a rubbish song, Winnits - it barely scans at all and doesn't rhyme. 2/10. Must try harder. lol

Whether we like it or not, since the Taylor Report, standing at football matches is against the law. Therefore, if the club ignores it, they are basically aiding and abetting a criminal offence and could themselves be in serious trouble. Far better then for the stewards and police to 'play the game' of constantly asking fans to sit down. If they feel there are constant offenders, they will eject the fans concerned and the police will get banning orders against those fans. Personally, I would welcome the re-introduction of standing areas, but whilst we don't have them, we'll all have to put up with being made to sit down. There is a grey area regarding away fans - in 10 away games this season, I haven't sat down once! AND have been completely ignored by the local constabulary.

lol lol obviously you haven't sat In A block then, this season hasnt been to bad but they do still pester us to sit down and calm things down when they get a little boisterous, A block has learnt since the bad old days how to handle the mini hitlers and if you humor them and give them there little victory sitting down for a few seconds you tend to get away with murder for the rest of the game, I find that if you have a luagh with them they tend to go easier on you in future games, call them a **** ect and your card will be marked.

Its not a criminal offence, its a civil matter i.e. against ground regualations. Its also not actually against the law anyway as standing during moments of excitement is allowed although what consitutes that seems to vary from club to club.

Some kind of comprimise is now required, i wouldn't advocate a return to old style terracing but something like the safe standing ares they have in Germany I don't see what the problem is. If this was all about safety then standing would be banned altogether eg in other sports, concerts etc. Even Lord Justice Taylor acknowledged that standing itself wasn't dangerous in his report but then forced all seater stadiums on everyone

The George Boyd song from A/B Block stuck straight away though, got sung a few times.

I heard Trent End more than usually though, it sounds so loud when everyone gets singing,

I thought Trent End was poor on saturday,, and i sit there! T'was quiet for most of the game until Chambo's goal. Im tempted with a move to Bridgford Lower next season
