vital forest getting carried away again

"Vital Forest have a transfer target list with 11 names on it. Most have already been mentioned on the forum, but there are one or two surprises in there. "

More make-up than an Avon Lady's handbag.

It takes all sorts in the wacky world of online Forest sites.

Personally I've never really favoured this "we have inside knowledge" approach - specially not on public feeds, because it could potentially jeopardise a transfer in an age where the media pick up stories from forums and fan sites. Plus it starts off all the pointless bickering - if the list proves to be wrong then people snipe, if it's right then the resulting bragging is pretty distasteful too.

They're rarely right, anyway.

Please don't start acting the tosser, Brogs, it's bad enough that you've already done that over on the Vital forum.

I doubt Vital have it, but I reckon a list of 11 could be right?! - bearing in mind they don't plan to sign them all and includes Plan A, B, C, etc.

Heard something about a Plymouth striker ... but surely we can't be after another forward?

Who? Can't see anyone there we would be interested in

Please don't say Bradley Wright-Phillips

Jamie Mackie.

Capello, for once I hope you're wrong!

I think Derby were after him as well.

Seems more like a Cohen/Anderson type Attacking Midfielder than a out and out forward. Good running with the ball, has scored a few goals this season. Bit like that Yeates guy from Boro.

Yeates scored a lovely goal at the weekend. Hit the bar with an even better effort earlier in the game too.

Perhaps Billy sees him as that elusive goalscoring midfielder that he keeps talking about.

I just can't see him making a step-up from this level.

We'd all be gutted if we went from rumours of buying proven Prem quality to buying lower league Derby rejects wouldn't we :(

A Derby fan's view of the prospect of signing Jamie Mackie for 1 million :D

"If what he says is true I'd rather have him than Commons. Although Commons is a technically gifted player he's far too slow and gets lost in alot of games. However Mackie seems the opposite, Loads of pace and passion, yet isn't the most gifted finisher but that can be worked on."
