Do we still have Vincent Fernandez?

He was a youth Centre Back a few years ago and I went to watch the yoofs, he looked impressive at CB.

Do we still have him and if not why not?

No. He was released a couple of seasons ago.

The last I heard was that he was at Blackpool when we were in League One with them.

He did indeed go to Blackpool, but fared no better there than he did here, after an unsuccesful loan spell at Conference side Greys Athletic, he returned to Blackpool and was released.

He moved back to France and now plays for ES Fréjus in the Championnat de France Amateurs Group B. (Basically the French equivalent of the Conference North/South).

All in all, not really 'one that got away'.

Carlos Merino spent the years after leaving Forest as a journeyman, bouncing around several clubs, before retiring to run a red squirrel sanctuary in the North of England. The red squirrel has, sadly, been in decline for a number of years, due to the invasion of non-native grey squirrels.
