Probably. And of course Pereria will never have to work again. But our club, Nottingham Forest, is our pride and joy, and should be a cut above.
I am sure you would agree?

There is always a risk and the only way we will know if this twist is right will be a couple of months or so into the season.

Being a fan of any sporting team is always going to be like this. Not everyone will agree, but the final choice is always out of our hands so even if we find the choices distasteful or even just plain wrong there is nothing we can do but either accept them or move on if the choice is too extreme.

Classless if the 2358hrs email story is true. After how VP helped pull us AND EM out of the mire last season after a series of w4nk decisions by the owner he atleast deserved the courtesy of a face to face meeting. I don't see how this ends well as Glasner clearly speaks his mind and EM is a human claymore.

Vitor did a fantastic job coming in and motivating a side that had plenty of talent but had been through a season of complete chaos and got the results needed to keep us up

I don't blame him for feeling hard done by but football is the most ruthless of endeavours these days and with a superior manager available as a free agent it's no surprise to me the EM has made the switch

But best of luck to you Vitor, it was largely down to you we won three in a row against Burnley, Sunderland and Chelsea to stay up and so I hope wherever you go next you find success

I too hope he hasn’t been treated in the way that seems to be being reported in the media. It’s a brutal industry but he didn’t deserve that. I get the need to go for Glasner if he’s available, just hope he doesn’t clash with EM. Thanks for keeping us up and for the Euro days Vitor.

To play devils advocate, as i really really liked everything about Vitor, but theres history between the Big Man and himself - and not the good kind. Vitor went behind EM's back while managing Oly to jump ship to Fenerbache.

The last time Vitor was in this exact position, with Wolves, pre-season and recruitment was an absolute disaster with lots of talk about the players not being fit, transfer targets not being good enough (although Wolves hardly pushed the boat out for his number 1 picks) - Wolves are now in the Championship after not winning a single game in the 12 Vitor managed last season.

Vitor apparently has been meeting and having his say in our transfer targets, maybe the direction he wanted to go in was the final straw?

Most likely is that we knew about Glasners availability, who had prolonged talks with Milan, waited for what was most likely our number 1 target given his success and the history between Syrianos and us heavily considering him to take over from Coops in 2023.

Whilst we all get sentimental for the past, we all know the modern game has changed radically from the BC era and Forest need now to survive in a very ruthless and competitive environment.

Our owner is ruthless and competitive and for that we should be grateful, even though the modern game has lost much of its sparkle.

I'll be honest JD, as nice as it would be I checked out of the sentimental part of football a long time ago.

It's not me trying to reminisce the past but the industry works on a completely different level these days which is so detached from reality.

It's why I hardly believe any of the guff that comes out of players and managers mouth these days, they don't really care but are trained to appear so.

And the only real losers from this all is owners and fans, which is why I guess I believe they need to be as ruthless as you can be at times.

There were only a handful of managers we would have been cutthroat about when it comes to VP. There were also a handful of clubs VP would have been cutthroat about when it comes to us.

I wish it were more 'ethical' (for want of a better word) and gentlemanly but it's not.
