Vítor Manuel de Oliveira Lopes Pereira

I think we play great stuff under him, we seem to look more of a Premier League outfit than anyone that’s managed us so far at this level

Every player is playing better
You say that but we have less possession and shots than we did under Dyche. I’m not saying Dyche was better because he most definetly isn’t. More saying I’m not sure I watch us and think premier league. I watch us and think it’s a more complex nuno plan. We sit like nuno but we are a lot more diverse in how we attack now. Direct, indirect, build up possession, route 1. It’s heads up football and I’m liking it. I just think we need more pace and power in the team to be deadly

From the Percy article.

Pereira has put his arm around the players and allowed them to play with freedom. On his first day, he addressed them and said: “If this goes wrong, it’s on me and not you.”

How to instantly release any pressure on the players get them on side.

You mean he didn't talk about what he'd won in the past, or tell them they need to run further? Can't see that approach working 😂

Don’t want to argue but that United game we were battered.
Just want to point out that stats can sometimes tell you one thing but without context you're not really seeing the full picture. The context here was Mbeumo trying to catch the ball against his side and the way that goal and refereeing travesty affected the flow of the game. Up until that point we'd been under the pump a bit without giving up loads of guilt edged opportunities. Afterwards we were battered as we went full on kamikaze. But the turning point was that one "corrupt" decision and the psychological impact it had.

It's no different to people saying we battered Wolves. Anyone who watched that match knew it was rubbish.

We HATE the Villa
Unless you have to two really unmatched teams quality-wise then you rarely ever get games where one side "batters" another

Mostly games ebb and flow, one side will be on top for a bit, and then the other side will be on top for a bit

We did miss a lot of chances. If we want to batter Dyche Everton at home is a much better game to. The wolves one the players fecked that more than Dyche for me.
