Very surprised at this to be honest. Think the length of time he’s been at other clubs made me think when he was appointed he was going to be a short term fix but the job he’s done he’s more than earned it. Viva pereira !

If the players are happy then it's the right decision. We've shown that when we have a unified and happy fanbase and dressing room, that we can kick on.

I'm praying lessons have been learnt from a year ago.

Happy and relieved at this in a strange way. When the players, staff and fanbase are as onside as it feels about a manager it makes the idea of changing him a potential trainwreck from the outset.

His interview with Col is interesting too, the main goal is to keep our players and to just add the balance we lack, plans are already underway.

This is huge news and I honestly hope it's true.

The togetherness and the confidence that he's brought with him were what had been missing from the team this season. The lack of both of these things was so obvious during both Ange and Dyche's tenures - somewhere, in a parallel universe, this same squad is easily in the top half of the league just having these 2 factors added.

It will shut up the noise & allow us to be prepared quickly for the season, great move to do it this early.

I also love the messaging in regards to players, we may all be happy to take the cash for Anderson but EM has shown before he’s more ambitious than the fan base! If we don’t HAVE to sell, we would be better off keeping him than taking the money & reinvesting.

Very happy we need stability or well should I say as much stability as we will ever get under EM. Players seem to love playing for VP.

The main objective VP was set was to stay in the EPL and he did that with 2 games to spare. He also did that with a excellent form. This was not a case of us being really poor over the last 10 games and others being worse. Others around us have been good we have been thankfully better. Pretty much top of the form table over the last 6-7 games

Feel we were very unlucky to go to Villa without MGW, Sangare, Aina, Murillo, CHO. We will never know what could have happened with our best 11. Villa will likely finish top 5 and win the Europa League. Very hard to go there and get a result missing so many key players.

On keeping key players it’s a great attitude to have and I think unless City or United want to pay way over market value for Anderson EM will hold firm. He did with MGW.

We have an owner who wants us to win trophies and compete for trophies. I don’t think he will sell our best players as that makes winning trophies a lot harder.

Unless it’s PSR related I dont see us selling key players under contract unless we are offered big money. Even if we sell you know EM will have done all he could to keep those players.

Fair play to him as it gives him a bigger payoff when he's sacked just before Christmas for only having Forest in 10th place with elements of the fanbase moaning that the football isn't good enough and we should be winning every game. He's earned it.

Great news. When it's the right fit, it would be insane to change it -- and VP is the right fit for Forest. I really don't care what happened in his previous career: Brian Clough was a dreadful manager for Brighton and Leeds. Steve Cooper walked out on Swansea. So what? It's all about the right person in the right place at the right time -- and VP ticks all those boxes.

If the news is true I'll be very happy. It is fantastic what he has achieved that the other 3 managers couldn't. He is liked by the players and the fans and has done what was asked of him even when other relegation candidates didnt fall off but picked up points too as well as a great European run. Furthermore he is a manager that can get the best out of players and has more than one tactic which he is willing to change mid game, even before half time!
As JohnnyCarey said I also dont care about how long (short) he was at other clubs. He deserves the chance to stay a while here and finally give some stability to the club situation whilst we mature in the PL.

Forest really seem to need to move away from managerial churn.
There will like as not be quite a lot of player churn.
We don’t want stagnation as that leads to a club going nowhere but downwards.
There is a change mode in world systems called “Dynamic Equilibrium”.
I think that’s what we need at Forest.
