Upcoming fixtures!

Hi all!

Just checking out the fixture list earlier today, seems like a tough run coming up. Maybe this could make or break our season? Well, probably not but it'll be interesting to see how we match up against the 'top teams'.
Disregarding Portsmouth [which will defo be a hard game!] we have Watford, Coventry, QPR and Cardiff coming up out of the next 5. Any thoughts?
Living in the USA I don't get to see any games, but it seems as if things are going well for us at the mo. Obviously McGoogle has been outstanding in the last few games and had turned games around for us and hopefully this can rub off on a few players. That old chestnut 'like a new signing' springs to mind! And I liked the look of the McGoogle...Majewski...Anderson attacking midfielder line!
Seems like the defence tightening up too, after conceding many soft goals this season. Any more thoughts!?

And I can't wait for the QPR game....my first game this season, I changed my arrival date into England so I could see this game. Hopefully a cracker!

Yeah it is a very tough next five games but you have to play those teams sooner or later and as they say there is no easy game in the championship these days because anybody can beat anybody. We shall see our true credentials tested which is always good.

all games are going to be tough but out of that lot cardiff are the only real trouble causers.

I don't fancy our April fixtures much either, can't remember them exactly now, but they're definitely tough if we are expecting an end of season climb up the table...

It all depends what our form is like going into the games; if we are playing well and have hardly any injuries and are winning games then these matches shouldnt hold any fear. Bring them on i say.

We'll do what we can! Its gonna be a bit hectic tho, cos we arrive in Manchester that Saturday morning, after a 5 hour flight. :-( Lets hope its all worth it!

Too right. I would much rather teams try and play to beat us and play open football than have a bunch of numbskulls play a miserable game of pack the midfield/hoof ball/break up play whenever we can a la the Blunts

Looking through those games, it should be a good test of our side- and theres certainly none we cant win

We need to approach EVERY game like we approach home matches and stamp our authority on games. Our away form can hardly get much worse can it?

You are quite right, that is the approach we should have; it did not do any harm for cloughie. We do have one of the best first 11s in the league and are capable of beating anyone so no team should hold any fear for us. Look at last season for example, i thought that west brom away was a definate defeat but we went there and played them off the park so we shouldnt be scared off any team. Just enjoy the challenge.
