Bit like Forest that, better team for a lot of it and comfortable but sinking so deep into the box invites that kind of pressure and is horrible to watch.

England all over Germany first half, Germany dominating the second, and finally a bit of luck with that shot on the bar.
Brilliant from the lads there! Anderson… f*** ing he’ll he’s an engine

Worst thing about Anderson's performance was the shot of him dancing a victory jig just now.

Not a dancer.

Absolutely brilliant result
Was a close game and we got a bit of luck in the end
Happy with that

Commentators were full of praise for Anderson but when asked post-match which players would likely join the senior squad, Defoe and whoever went for Livramento, Elliott and McAtee (or something like that).

Maybe that's just realistic as Anderson is in a queue behind two Bellinghams and MGW. And presumably Jordan Henderson.

Good.

I hope Elliot continues to lurk under the radar whilst owning the midfield for Forest for at least another season

Would think Livramento would be a dead cert given he can play either full back position and that we aren't overloaded with decent options there. Even then sometimes it helps if there are combinations who play at club level as well and (when he isn't injured) Lewis Hall had already made the full squad at LB.

To me (Harvey) Elliott looks like he should be doing more than he is but then at the same time he always feels like he's been around longer than his age would suggest, probably because he was playing for Fulham at 15, and was at Liverpool not long after that. It actually can make sense to keep age group players back from the full squad especially if there's a tournament, he isn't a striker but he scored a fair few this time.

With him, and we can probably include Elliot and MGW too, as they play positions where we do have plenty of options, not sure where younger Bellingham fits in but he's playing for Dortmund now so if he does well he would no doubt be considered, but certainly older Bellingham, Declan Rice, Henderson (!) Gallagher, Curtis Jones (top six bias). Rogers, Wharton are all equally there for consideration, and probably only 2 or 3 of them will be playing at any one time.

All the more infuriating that Harvey Elliot and McAtee, who play in positions that are pretty much locked down for ten years (Saka and Bellingham) will probably get called up before Anderson.

Well you'd imagine Carsley gets the job next time it's available so him and Morgan would have more of a chance then.

Anderson seemed to be playing more of an achoring role than MGW or Bellingham ever would. He'd be perfect alongside Rice in a 2.
Yep, 4231 with him and Rice as holding midfielders.

I think he'll get more caps than MGW.
