Tyson on Gerken...DISGUSTING

I appreciate that most fans on this forum will not have been to Ashton Gate this afternoon and may not have seen the incident yet, haing been less than 10 yards from the incident I can provide you with an accurate UNBIASED description of the event that you can see for yourself later,

Facts.

1.Yes it was a 50/50
2.Yes Tyson was intitled to go for it
3.Gerken got there first
4.Gerken pulled his legs in to avoid injuring himself or Tyson
5.Tyson raised his foot/leg directly into Gerken's neck/head knocking him unconsious (broken collarbone/dislocated shoulder)

Now the Facts that led me to using the word "disgusting" in this thread title.

1. As soon as the challenge took place and it became clear that it was a serious injury your disgrace of a manager had the audacity to turn to his assistant, impersonate a dive and closed his eyes (pretending to be unconsious) and began to laugh, when city fans close showed their displeasure at this disgusting behavior he turned and blew kisses.
2. Tyson laughed and joked with his team mates also gesturing that Gerken was faining injury and must have thought it was his birthday when he only recieved a yellow card.
3. Your 'fans' then applauded and sang Tysons name for the rest of the game and also took great pleasure in watching our keeper stretchered off (not applauding as would happen with any team with any respect).

I know the reputation of a dirty, cheating bunch precedes your players, staff and fans but I never imagined that an entire club from the management to the supporters could slip so low as to act the way that you lot did today.

Clough would have been DISGUSTED!

Perhaps Tyson remembered Maynards thuggery on one of our lads last seaon at our place?

Now. If you have anything positive to contribute please feel free. Otherwise just go back to dating your cousin.

I'm sure your fellow "fans" will appreciate you confirming my point about you and your team being complete and utter neanderthals. As you have just attempted to condone something which should have be punnished with an assault charge!

Also have you actually ever seen Maynard?! he is 5"8 or so possibly one of the weediest forwards you have ever seen and is also one of the most placid (for the brighter among you, he wouldnt hurt a fly)

I think because he wrote it in capitals it means he is actually biased.

One of those Brizzle fans with a chip on their shoulder because of Calderwood's clumsy comments back in League One days probably.

Oh well, over it now.

Not according to the account of another City fan.

Methinks you're a tad deluded, although obviously you saw more than I did, I'll reserve judgement 'til the highlights later.

Myself nor my team are neanderthals though, and I've seen more of 'em than you have young man :)

I thought this was going to be a "How disgusting it was when Gerkin got caught with his pickle out taking a winkle in the street" thread.

Hope his injuries are not too bad, and he recovers quickly.

Colin Frey said it was accidental and didn't deserve a booking.

Their manager has not complained about it in his after match comments(so far as I can tell).

That tells me that it was unfortunate but accidental.

well done you found the single comment from the person who probably did not have a clear view of the incident.

Why dont you all have a look at the comments being made by 99.9% of city fans...

What the f*** did you come on here for anyway?, 99.9% didn't see it and won't see it till later, then we can pass comment. Do you want a written apology? Shall we wear hair shirts for a week? Send the keeper a box of chocolates and a get well soon card?

First of all, I'd like to wish Dean Gerken a speedy recovery.

Tyson is quite a clumsy individual at most times so I'm not surprised to see him involved in an incident of this nature. I'm not going to condone a poor challenge, especially when I haven't seen it, but it always irks me to see opposing fans coming on here and trying to take the moral high ground over one incident of misfortune in an entire season. Bad tackles do happen, and to tar the club with the same brush on the basis of one of our most robust performances of the season is pathetic. Anyone who has watched a majority of Forest games this season will have seen a side that is generally fair, even if it sometimes resorts to acts of gamesmanship to see out an advantage or else to gain the odd free-kick (which makes us no different to every other team).

Bristol City fans are a particularly irksome bunch who have seemingly held a grudge against Forest on the basis of the comments of one manager (who we ourselves have consigned fully to history). I personally don't mind them as a club but on the internet the collective mongitude of their fans becomes quite irritating. I do however wish them the best of luck in their search for a new manager.

In terms of this incident, I'm sure everybody can agree that it is regrettable and at best, a very clumsy and unfortunate challenge on the part of Tyson.

What reputation? We have a rep for playing some great football, except for when we come against physical teams of thugs like bristol. We dont have any kind of bad reputation.

I call bulls*** on your entire post. Its written by someone who sounds like they've cobbled a load of bits of what other people have written together and turned it into thier opinion.

You appear to have had the greatest view of all time and seen absoloutely everything in near omnipitent fashion.

I think your making it up.

We dont have dirty players, we dont cheat- we are an honest team built on short quick players.

Stop being a muppet and grow up

Reputation for being dirty?

More like a reputation for being pussies to easily kicked off the park.

As NewarkRed politely put it, kindly go away.

Genuinely do hope Gerken recovers quickly, never good to see any player get injured.

Im not sure any of us can comment on it unless we were there or have seen a replay on TV. I'd never put Tyson down as a malicious player, and hoping the replays show it was a genuine attempt at the ball

Interesting use of the word 'fact' there.

Virtually every Forest fan around me was applauding as the keeper was stretchered off, as I would expect in a situation like that.

I didn't see Tyson laughing and joking, though I did see him immediately go over to the keeper after the challenge to check on him. As it was obvious that he was hurt, I would be surprised if he was joking about it.

Do you honestly expect the Forest fans not to respond to your chants of 'Tyson, what a w**ker'? Of course we were going to back him!

It looked like a total 50/50 between two players who went to ground totally committed. Not quite sure how you were close enough to see Billy's antics as well as seeing the incident so clearly.

Now be a good little inbred and f*** off.
