Seems these 3 will miss the match against Bristol City on Saturday.

I think the team still has the potential to score enough goals for a win (what with McGugan, Majewski, Garner and McGoldrick all capable of stepping up) . But it's still a bit shit.

Show's how far we've come that when this happened last year we were playing Sinclair and Newbold. Now we have Mcgoldrick, Adebola and Garner to play.

Definitely time to give Garner a full game up front in my opinion.

I agree. My team would be:

----------------Camp--------------------

-Gunter---Wilson---Wes----Lynch--

---------Moose-------McKenna-------

-Ando-------Majewski--------Cohen-

----------------Garner------------------

I personally think Mcgoldrick has done enough over the last couple of games to warrant keeping his place. Seems to be a confidence player and could have scored a couple last night. Out of all the out and out strikers we have I think he is the best ive seen at linking up play with the midfield and if he gets a couple of goals will start to score a few.

id try and stick with the same team at Cardiff, think Moussi and Mckenna look a good solid pairing and keep the impact players like Mcgugan and Mccleary on the bench

Also shows how unprepared Colin Calderwood left this side for the Championship.

I think 4-4-2 with Garner up top. He wouldn't manage on his own I don't think.

Camp

Gunter Morgan Wilson Cohen

Moussi McKenna

Anderson McCleary

McGoldrick Garner

I think those two could form a decent partnership actually. The other option would be to use Dele with Garner, but I think McGoldrick has played well enough to stay in the side. He works hard and would be a good foil for Garner.

Isn't that the fker who didn't give the ball back?

no thats Gunter, and if I remember rightly (Which I do) he threw it back, but your LB left it, left it, left it before Gunts had no choice but to charge him down...

at least thats how most of us on here saw it anyway...

Water under the bridge mate but McAllister had no option, he was given the ball and then chased down straight away if I recall rightly (which I do)

I must be on my own here thinking, that although played out of position this season I don't rate Garner.

He does hassle the opposition a lot, but picks up too many bookings and I think he can be a bit sluggish at times. I would give him a chance up top, but he needs to cut out going to ground to easily to get a permanent place.

By the way, I do hope big Dele comes over to us during the warm up or at the end.

He is incredibly popular here and I was fortunate enough to have a good conversation with him after he signed for you.

Lovely bloke.

I'm just worried about his tendency to have blinders against former clubs.

I personally would have garner up front with big Dele. Mcgoldrick works hard but can't hold onto the ball and defends far to much to be seen as a striker. i also think he's crap

put ando back on the right to get some crosses in. maybe put lynch in and push cohen up on the left of midfield or put mcCleary on one of the flanks.

it's bad to lose all those players but rather they miss this one and have the international break to recover fully... or in tyson sake, get a good part of his recovery done without missing to many matches

Yep McCleary on right, Ando on left with Raddy in a free role with Mckenna and Moose. The striker is the problem at the moment. Garner on his own? Not sure about that. Dele can look a bit clumsy on his own and McGoldrick is a tidy footballer but not a striker IMO.
I'd be tempted to play exactly the same team as yesterday except Gaz in for Garner on the right. That'll give Brizzle something extra to worry about.

Further to my post in the other thread, I agree with you on that.

I think McGoldrick can play up top on his own with the right support.

I'd play the same team as yesterday, would maybe swap Garner and McGoldrick around for a bit.

That's odd because my dad's missus seems to think you lot hate him. Then again she only heard that from a Bristol fan at her work who may or may not be a tad annoyed he left.

That'd be me team also. To have Dele score against his former team would be great, but I see him coming on as a 2nd half sub.

With our 'better' strikers out injured it is about time to give Garner a run up front. I'd like to see McCleary get a start but maybe McGugans goal yesterday has pushed him further up in Billys mind.

I made it a priority to watch Joe against cardiff and he was immense. He didn't have much ball to feet but the amount of headers he won was unreal ! Some of them nearly set us up too. i saw why Billy played him there.

If you get the chance to see it again you will se his contribution to the game was pretty good !

Very true. I personally seem to remember saying billy was signing too many strikers.

Now we've got a few injuries I'm being proved well and truly wrong, he's doing a quite brilliant job of juggling them all at the right times to keep them fresh and happy, probably with the only unhappy one being rob earnshaw at the moment.

Anyone notice that our recent good football coincides with Lynch not being anywhere near the team?!

He works hard, but for a striker his creativity has been poor this season. i hope he doesn't turn into a poor man's Alan Smith

But by similar arguement you could say it coincides with Cohen being removed from midfield.......

And I get the impression the best football we have played was first half against Newcastle and Cardiff with this 5 man midfield with Moose and Mckenna.
I hate to say it but if this formation becomes a regular occurence then Earnie could be surplus to requirements if his valuation is to be believed.

I was under the impression Earnie might be fit for this game, maybe I heard wrong
