Typical NEP ****-Up

Yes, heaven forbid the media tells it like it is.

And they are in the media, they can hardly call him a disliked Forest player.

At the end of the day, with the shoe on the other foot, they could try and write a single sentence without using a tried-and-trusted cliche once in a blue moon.

And here's another rip roaring sentence from todays NEP - hell-be-it written by Kenny Burns...................

"FORMER Forest favourite Neil Lennon was appointed Celtic manager last week and we will have to wait and see if he is the right man for the job"

I was a real fan of his during his short spell on Trentside. Unfortunately the role of holding midfielder continues to go unappreciated by a significant number of Forest fans.

I appreciate the role. Unfortunately Lennon tried to play it at walking pace. The slowest player I have ever seen in League football and was alledgedly a disruptive influence. Not a favourite of this fan.
he ranks with Nicky Eaden and Andy Cole as one of my least favourite of the last 5 or 6 years.

I accept that he was slow but the way he played for us, he didn't require any pace. He always seemed to be in the right place to receive the ball and then play the simple pass. It's true that he didn't move a great deal in the process but his link-up play and reading of the game more than compensated for it to me.

As far as Andy Cole and Nicky Eaden are concerned, at least we've found some common ground!

I appreciated Lennon and the job he did when he arrived at Forest, agree with the good points mentioned. But I feel he after a handful of games, entered a comfort zone at Forest, maybe sussed out CC's less confrontational style of management and bullied him and some of the players around a little.

I think one of his last games for Forest was Luton away and he was an absolute disgrace.........this I believe was the peak of a progressive disasterous spell and influence he had at the club. Pleased when he went/shown the door.

Didn't somebody work out that Paul Smith covered more distance on the pitch than Lennon? Or was that Cole ...

That was Cole. Worst work ethic ever. He stood so stll in matches he grew roots.
