Seeing as Forest and Derby isnt on TV on Saturday, do you reckon it would be on TV if the Police didnt move the move the kick off time to 1.00pm or whenever it is.

If it was at three o'clock it couldn't be on telly anyway.

yes but what i'm saying is that no way in the world would the Police let the K.O be at 5:15 (seeing as thats the TV time for Championship)

But would it be on TV anyway if the Police would let it K.O at 5:15?

TV doesn't see local derbies other than all London, all Manchester or all Liverpool as being of any interest to anyone outside the city involved so probably not.

Probably not but then I'm not a TV executive.

Like it or not, most people who are casual football watchers or fans of another team, would probably rather watch Newcastle.

I know I certainly don't give a toot about Sheffield United vs. Sheffield Wednesday.

it's going to be a warzone in nottingham... 4'400(around) derby fans making there own way to the ground all will be in the city centre at one point or another, I'm going in with a group of Forest fans (think we're going standing order) on the rainbow2.

police and transport officers have f*cked this one well and truely...

Cancelling the trains is a ridiculous thing to do.

If the police were sensible they'd cover the cost of bus transport for all Derby fans, then they could control the majority of them, and where they go etc.

For drinking purposes, it would have been prudent to offer this, then approach somewhere like Isis, a nightclub out of the centre, and use it as a bar, then gradually transport them to the ground.

I'm in Long Eaton, but to be on the safe side I'm going to Beeston first then catching the 13/36 into town, hopefully less sheep botherers on those buses :)

The game at Pride Park normally is because it's a new ground it's much easier to rig for TV. The City Ground takes two days and eight miles of cabling to get it ready for a full Sky broadcast, hence why we're on TV more when we're away from home.

I don't think that many would go to the City Centre. There'll be plenty driving, and coaches going straight to the ground. There'll be plenty of police presence to keep the ways in monitored.

There's bound to be some trouble, unfortunately, but I don't think it will be too significant.

I know we're on about D*rby fans here Al but even they'd need to have had a frontal lobotomy to get the coach from ground to ground with them being fleeced £14 a head for the pleasure.

£14 on the D*rby equivalent of the Silversnail or £4.60 all day travel on any of the Barton buses - I know which one I'd choose

According to National Rail, the trains between Nottingham and Derby are cancelled due to planned engineering works, with replacement buses in action. This doesn't sound like anything to do with the police.

Anyone who is from the south can still catch the train from London to Nottingham.

I have a helpful suggestion for Derby fans......Get up early and catch a train to London.Breakfast in Millwall and then catch atrain from London to Nottingham thereby avoiding the line closure between Derby and Nottingham. Happy to help ;D
PS Do they still do Top Tips in Viz? I haven't read it for about 10 years?

I never said the police cancelled the trains.
