I think its bullsh*t to be fair. if davies wanted him out on loan...championship/league one club would get him.

what do you think?

shit i live in lincoln, and i know they are fishing for loans.

Would hate him to go there though, i rate him quite highly and will be even better next season.

He's far too good for league two. would be good to see him help a local team out if davies wanted him out on loan.

If garner is send out anywhere it be carlisle again or league one team

Agree Forest no.10 and the Broganator! It's probably bollox as it would seem daft to loan out our million pound young forward only on the same day to buy a new million pound young forward! ;D

This will be bullshit, we shouldnt even loan Garner out in general hes better than the majority of our strikers already.

apart from a slight dip in form last season garner for me was a excellent player and will push for a first team place next season why the hell would we loan out a player we payed 1.4million for to a league 2 team

Probably bollocks, surely?

Billy Davies has always said that he wanted 5 strikers at City Ground. We have Tyson, Earnshaw, McGoldrick, Adebola (apparently), and Garner.
That makes 5.

And after coming into the squad with some convincing performances, Billy did say that Garner did have a future at Forest.

I reckon he'll stay.

In 2 years time he'll be our best striker.

Agreed!

I tipped him to play in the Prem one day, before he signed for us.. Just needs a good couple of Championship seasons under his belt before that statement is taken seriously.

His goal against Southampton at the seasons end showed a slight glimpse of his capabilities.

100% agree, this season he scored 8 or 9 and he allways gave 100%.

But with McGoldrick coming in i think Garner will find it hard to get a startin place, as at times i dont think Billy liked him. Hopefully im proved wrong :D

Not to mention his goal AWAY to Southampton.

I believe Garner to have similar qualities to Earnshaw as a striker. The only difference bering Garner is and will be a lot stronger than Earnie will ever be.

Maybe not quite as quick, but the ability plus strength makes up for lack of pace.

It's a no-brainer that he has to stay.

This is someone getting there Joes mixed up. :nowink:

No wonder my post count..
Maybe with the new signings coming in, Billy can't promise Garner regular team football and might need to send him out for a few months.

I hope that's the worst case scenario anyway.

Garner had a great game at Blackpool too. However, it might just be the making of him to go out and get a few goals elsewhere. Didn't Tony Woodcock go to Lincoln for a bit? Look what happened to him!!!!!!

I think my point was that he became a top player. I trust BD so if there is any truth in the rumour, I'd be surprised.

I like Joe a lot, he's a pest on the pitch.
He seems to have a lot of 'gamesmanship' in his game that pisses the opposition right off.

Capital letters have a place in all our lives.
Proper Nouns need them.

First post woo!
Yeah anyway this is so true! I only go to the CG when im not playing football myself on a Saturday but he is such a class act to watch in the way he always winds up the oppo. He might just be young and naiive but hes a better version of Jack Lester in a way without the diving. During one of the midweek games this season he came on as a sub and twatted someone near the corner flag, shortly after BD came. He got booked and then seemed to get left out or not be as aggressive. Think BD might have given him a ticking off but i like that side to his game.
Keep him for this season ;D

If Garner goes out on loan , then Billy can get lost. Garner is better than McGoldrick.

Yeah right now I'd say so, but we arn't currently fair judges of that. We havnt seen what mcgoldrick can do in our team yet

thing is about Lincoln City is that they are always "hopeful" pre-season, get players on loan (like spencer weir daley, eaden, bencherif, joe heath this season) and never deliver.

As a resident of Lincoln i have long given up on them as my second favourite team.

If all our strikers are fit, then i don't see the problem in loaning him out for around 3 months to get his form back and to get him some first team football. If he proves it at the club he's on loan with and bags a few, then maybe Billy will consider him in the first team.
