Travel to Crystal Palace.

If my flight lands at Heathrow 12.05, will I make it to Selhurst Park by 3PM?
If this is possible, I can leave my local airport at 9 am, go via Oslo, and land at Heathrow 12.05 PM.
Saves me a lot of ££, only spending one night in the UK...
Defiantly going to Palace (but may have to spend the night in Oslo, and take an earlier flight to London on Saturday).
Considering QPR as well...

I'd imagine it'd take about an hour, hour and a quarter to get from heathrow to thornton heath on a mixture of underground/overground... so you should be ok!

You are setting yourself up for a risk if your plane is delayed, though.

If the flight lands at 12.05, how long does it take to clear the plane and collect baggage (or are you only taking hand baggage?), then reach the underground?

There are various trains that leave from heathrow airport to Selhurst: they take about 1 1/2 hours, just looked at the timetable for the 24th October and it seems there is plenty trains that will get you there for kickoff if your flight arrives at 12:05.

Hope this helps.

Yep you will be don't go on the tube though.. Get the airport bus (its free) to feltham (takes about 5 mins and they are ever 5 mins). Get on the train to clapham (fast trains take about 15 mins). Then change at clapham to Selhurst, could take less than an hour..

Yeah... I guess it's possible, but a significant amount of money wasted if something goes wrong... I guess it takes about an hour to get through customs, and down to the trains at heathrow as well...
I was feeling rather optimistic about this until reality checked in...
Guess I should just drive to Oslo and take the 07.50 flight to London. More time for pre-match rituals as well! ;)

Ryan Air to East Midlands, those were the days... (which I never took advantage of... stupid..)

If you have a bag to collect then I wouldn't plan on getting through Heathrow arrivals in any less than an hour, so (even if the plane lands on time) plan on leaving Heathrow at about 1pm. Would be tight for a 3pm ko!

Better to be there early for a LTLF meet up ;D

You will definitely get to QPR if you take that flight, with plenty of time to join us in the Shepherds Bush Walkabout beforehand!

From my experiences of flying into Heathrow every week from Ireland, if you are carrying hand luggage, it will take you nowhere near an hour to get through customs etc.

You flew home every week?

Not every single weekend but most weekends, yes.

Everyone I worked with was there on a project so flew home at weekends and for the first half of my time there, I had a boyfriend back in Loughborough.

I wonder where you British people get your energy from?! :)
Is it still normal to wake up early to make yourselves English breakfast as well? Must take forever!
Beer is better in the UK though, so there might be some magic ingredient in it! ;)
