TRANSFER NEWS AT LAST - Need a New Left Back!

Widdow

Youth Team
Joe Heath goes to Lincoln on loan for 6-months, our squad gets smaller, but surely that means we have a left back lined up!

Glad to see Joe Heath getting a loan and a chance to gain experience at a local(ish) club. Hope he does well there.

Reckon we will be getting Joel Lynch, but I believe they are better natural left backs out there......if you are prepared to pay!

EXPENSIVE - And also my preference would be to spend a good amount of Money to get Daniel Fox from Coventry. I think for this level he is superb, and with him being young, should have a good sell on value!

MEDIUM VALUE My second choice is another player I have always rated, and I think would be good value for us, is Dean Lewington – MK Dons (although not sure he has played that many games at Championship level, but has played really well in the lower leagues) this may be easier to do a deal if MK dons dont go up! (awaits the ginger jokes)

FREE What about Dan Harding, who he is available on a bosman. Plenty of experience, finished the season on loan at Reading before being released by Ipswich!

Others ...?
Callum Davidson Preston
Dickinson from Stoke
Ryan Bertrand (just finished loan at Norwich) sure Chelsea will let him out on loan again!
Roberts at Doncaster

Sh*t the bed. If we sign Dean Lewington I will cry. He's not even worth half a Joel Lynch.

At the moment then, we have *no* left backs fit to play in our squad?

Jules is still injured, Lynch is Brighton player, and we've - yet - signed nobody else. We must have someone lined up, not even Forest could cock something up that badly...

Ian Harte is only 31.
He could get him for a season and may be captain material.
I reckon at 31 he can still do a job for a top championship team(look at stephen carr, helped get brum promoted at 32/33).

I know this doesn't always mean a great deal but

"Harte signed a two-year contract with Carlisle United on 18th May 2009 keeping him at the club until the summer of 2011.[10]"

The Lynch deal is nearly done has been slow going through as his partner is suffering from a serious illness. Thornhill will join Brighton for 6 months, with a view to the deal becoming permanent - Davies doesn't rate him!
