Judging by last season, if your the sort who enjoys smashing up trains and fighting with coppers, then I'd recommend last train. If not then I'd get on one of the earlier ones.

cheers for replies, its just that I have never been on train to derby away before so wanted a bit of info, another thing I was wondering was if i catch the earlier train will the police keep us in derby station until the later trains get there ready for escort , therefore would it just be best catching later train ? ;D

notingham showing on the nationalrail website but I'd say the 1208 would be the best one to ensure you dont get to Derby too early but are still there in time as to not miss KO (you might even have enough time for a quick beer in the ground)

The last train for the cup match last season was shocking. There were a few dick heads kicking off, but the police didn't do themselves any favors and there must have been a good few health and safety rules broken.

Might leave it till the second last one this year, coming over to Nottingham from Newark though so need to plan out drinking time too.

They have put those London underground ticket machines up at Nottingham station, but it will take agers getting hundreds of fans onto the train.I'm going in the car so it dont effect me just being curious.

The ground is very close to the station so it doesn't take long at all.

its about half a mile out the back of the station through PP - take about 10-15 mins on your own but if your in the escort it takes longer (well does after the game as the police constantly stop, start)

K the ground is close but i didn't know if Derby police took you the long way round for the sake of it.

There isn't really much of a long way around - aside from exiting the station at the front I guess.

Yep, but not by train - we're carring it.

Same where do you park? We park just of Ascot drive then walk over the train bridge, past the Audi garage then into the away section.

Not 100% confirmed yet, but possibly the cattle market off pentagon island.

We need somewhere we can get out relatively quick.

We're headed to the M1 to go South rather than back to Nottingham. So easy access to the A52 will be helpful.

Although quick access to the A6 and A50 could be even more helpful.....

I shall be getting the train over from Beeston for this one, better than the Indigo which takes over an hour and is more expensive to boot!

Probably just get a couple of beers in the ground, as much as I don't like putting more money into DCFC, the atmosphere will be fantastic on the concourse plus there's nowhere decent round Derby to drink at all.
