Kilburn Red
First Team Squad
Imagine the sleepless nights our friend Victor is now having, staring down the barrel of a six million pound promotional clusterfook gimmick! lol
Christ its good to be back! All those miserable seasons of dire low league football were washed away yesterday.
Beating direby, slapping commons & taking that silly smirk off Nigel's face was good, but yesterday was different.
Newcastle are a serious team. with top notch credentials. Nottingham Forest officially arrived back yesterday from the wilderness.
Fans believe again - In numbers. The atmosphere was electric. If you closed your eyes yesterday, I could have been a game from 30 years ago. Even on TV, when I watched the game for a second time, the atmosphere still came across fantastic. Compare it to the average dross served up on SKY TV today and there was only one winner for pure passion. At one point near the end of the game, nearly the whole ground was going at it hammer and tong! It was near the point where the hairs start to stand up on your neck. That's some feeling.
Respect goes to Nigel Doughty for finally backing a manager with some serious funding. Long may it continue! The installment of Billy Davies as manager was also inspirational. Hes the closest thing we will ever have to Brian again. Passion from the belly and an inner belief that is infectious to the sole.
Don't be fooled by the endless press interviews and one lines about "were building", "too early" etc
Nottingham Forest have arrived back as serious promotion contenders.
OK, so maybe we wont jump the gap this season, but I tell you something, neither will we be fighting relegation either. Forest are only heading one direction.
What a jerk commons must feel down Brian Clough Way. If only he had kept his fookin pie face shut for six months! He now finds himself sat in a dressing room of nobodies, playing for a very average team who are probably heading for bottom eight insignificance. And to cap it all, he dare not walk the streets of Nottingham and still has a huge Forest tattoo on his arm! lol How different thing could have been eh Chris? You fool.
Can anybody please explain how we managed to squeeze another 1000 on the attendance compared to the direby game? I thought they were both sell outs?
Tuesdays game now becomes all important. But we don't have to worry like we did over the past 5/6 years. Have faith in the manager and faith in the squad of players he has assembled. I'm still a sad tw*t. I don't look at our league position. All I look for is the gap to direby. It could be as much as 8 points on Tue night with a superior goal difference.
That will do for me - For now.
Thank you Forest. Life's good again.
