Well? (and that's how I was going to start this thread, but then I got a conscience pang and thought I should elaborate my thoughts a little).

I (along with a few others) thought Billy was looking to leave a few months ago, and (as much as we may or may not like it) has been making very obvious overtones in that manner very recently, (back me or fire me, obviously seeking a pay-off for leaving the club) so the timing is perfect if we're looking for a manager with great club pedigree and great control over players, hence the early retirements of some non-commited internationals, including Lily Savage.

I don't think we'll get Martin (as much as we'd love to) as I think he's off to Man U, so Toshack (IMO) is a good no-nonsense intelegent replacement for the previously committed Mr Davies who's player/position selections have left me mystified of late.

Thanks Billy Billy Hunt. Was expecting the first reply to be negative. You may well be close to comatose (note time) but I'm happy with that, and if I've mis-represented you I apologise lol

I actually said we needed someone like John Toshack or Gordon Milne when Platt left to bring some stability back to the club, with an excellent pedigree and an influence on players, who had an aura about them and who the players respected and wanted to play for, and were perhaps slightly scared of.

Now, I'm not so sure, he didn't have a great time with Wales and think he might me a bit 'old school' for today's leagues.....and I'm not so sure how he's like the transfer panel.

Conclusion: Not for me, sorry.

I didn't know they were hiring people to clean the toilets. I think Toshak would be an ideal candidate.
 
your joking! would love to see doncaster's manager here though if billy did leave!
