Thats the thing though, he is in the right place at the right time, blocking shots, its just unfortunate that they are going in off him, so i suppose he may be slightly off, but not that far he doesnt get to the ball.
But i understand where you are coming from though.

It's one of them things isn't it, you try block shots and occasionally they go in. The Derby and Sheff Weds ones were especially unfortunate, both shots straight at him, Derby one perhaps going wide and the Sheff Weds one would have been easily saved.
You do wonder why we never get any deflected goals though? Is it because we don't shoot from the edge of the box with defenders in front of us, and perhaps we wait for better opportunities. As I always say, if you don't shoot, you don't score!

24 teams in the League each with 2 centre backs = 48. Unless there are 24 of the 48 better than him he is indeed one of the best centre backs in the League. For what it@s worth I would rank him in the Upper Quartile [ in the top 25% or top 12] ;D
