who is blaming who for what here?

The angry smiley gives the impression that you're blaming Wes for scoring own goals.

At the time i thought it came off someone but the highlights aren't that good so it's not very clear if or who it came off

Can't we spin Wes round and round and hope he shoots the other way?

Or, we could ask him to play a role in between the opposition centre backs and just keep shooting at him. It will confuse them at the same time too.

Fair enough. It wasn't my intention to 'blame' him, but I am mad that he keeps doing it. Not mad at him, just mad.

Well, it's not like any of Big Wes' own goals have been stupid....slicing into his own net or anything...they've all been footballing 'incidents' which he could do little about.

Perhaps he's saving that for national tv on Sunday. ???

Poor old Wes. You can't help but love him despite being in the wrong place and the wrong time on too many occasions lately.

We seem to have Wes scoring in one end and Earnie clearing them off the line at the other. ::)

Thats the thing though, he is in the right place at the right time, blocking shots, its just unfortunate that they are going in off him, so i suppose he may be slightly off, but not that far he doesnt get to the ball.

But i understand where you are coming from though.

It's one of them things isn't it, you try block shots and occasionally they go in. The Derby and Sheff Weds ones were especially unfortunate, both shots straight at him, Derby one perhaps going wide and the Sheff Weds one would have been easily saved.

You do wonder why we never get any deflected goals though? Is it because we don't shoot from the edge of the box with defenders in front of us, and perhaps we wait for better opportunities. As I always say, if you don't shoot, you don't score!

Wes is a collosal defender, one of the best in the league.

This is an unlucky spell.

The best thing we can do is get behind him at matches, not ironic cheers like Smith is subjected to.

24 teams in the League each with 2 centre backs = 48. Unless there are 24 of the 48 better than him he is indeed one of the best centre backs in the League. :) For what it@s worth I would rank him in the Upper Quartile [ in the top 25% or top 12] ;D

A top quality CB is at the very least competent in the air.
