To All You Streamers Out There.

Is it to early to find any links for the Birmingham/Forest match?

There won't be many matches (because of weather) being played on Tuesday night, so there might well be a few streaming sites to visit.

Please list your finds:

on a different site because LTLF wants nothing at all to do with them

I think this needs to be made clear if so. I have no problem with the sites but understand the worries of the peple who run the site. However it needs to be obvious to everyone that it can't be tolerated because every game people want a stream. Its no good just saying here and there that its not appropriate. It may be on the forum rules? Im not too sure.

Maybe a sticky telling people to search in google and what key words to put in would help. Either way the people have spoken and they want to stream matches and that can't be stopped.

It's illegal, and as such to be seen to be colluding in it or advertising it could have ramifications for the forum.

The same goes for anything else that breaks the law.

Not sure if it's stated in the rules, but it's fairly obvious and is laboured each time the direct links appear.

Should people want to share links via PM then that's okay.. but well, it's really not hard to type "live stream football" into Google and end up with myp2p or iraqgoals, is it?

:)

I'm pretty sure this game won't actually be streamed. There are two being streamed, off the top of my head it's the games with Cov and another game involving Cardiff, maybe against Bristol but I'm not sure without checking.

As Winnits says though finding a stream if you want one and it exists really is only a five second job using google.

So we can't post direct links but when can give instructions on exactly how to find them ?

Oh, well that's OK then lol

It seems ridiculous, I realise - but that's how these things are.

A direct link is an endorsement, almost the forum compelling people to indulge. Instructions (hinted ones) show that the user is making their own decision.

It's a bit like the difference between a library containing instructions on bomb-making, or handing over the finished article to an interested party.

Completely petty and silly example, but it's late :p

It's completely daft but just like forums that give you the software and instructions on how to use a starview/eurovox or hack your wii to play copied games as they qualify it as for demonstration purposes only and not to be used.

How about:

Whatever you do, don't click on this link.

That's not an endorsement.

If you'd like to commission a legal team to check the validity we could consider it.

I prefer to keep it to Darwin style survival of the people who can use a search engine :)

And the whole Jamie Carragher business is OK because it's just fact.

Well it's more of an opinion... apparently a commonly held one!

I dunno about over here, but in America to call someone a liar or a fraud in the media without evidence is on dodgy ground. To use an insult is a lot safer. I'd guess the same is true here.

As I said, I understand why the forum wouldn't want anything to do with the stream sites. But it needs to be made clear to people that this forum won't tolerate stream links. It comes up every week! As previously stated, I suggest a sticky showing how to search for streams (some people aren't as computer literate as the rest of us) and any threads started on how to get a stream would then be deleted.

If these actions aren't taken then the forum can have no complaints about people asking for streams. Not everybody knows that it is illegal. Some may not even care.

Dude I'm with you. I pay for forest world, (to listen to BBC, which pisses me off slightly) however, to google "live stream forest v xxxx" takes less time than it does to put another post on here, asking the same old rubbish, instead off just scrolling down the page and looking for justintv etc, or do you does everone get bored with the 800000 results and go right! f*** it! I'll check on you porn! ::)

Only pissed off as pirate bay isn't working again!

This very fact means it is made clear, with great regularity, it doesn't make any difference to people continuing to do the same. Do you think a person searching for streams/posting a thread would bother their arse to read through the rules? Course they wouldn't. The rules state that the law shouldn't be broken, and nobody is complaining about people asking for streams, we just remove the links.

Personally I don't really care about streams - I use them myself. Just don't want to get in legal bother for it.

Please PM me and stream link
Stop using the word "Stream" and change it for the word "RIVER" like I suggested before and then no one gets into trouble.
