He is a sports journalist and Forest fan

He has a feed to all the newspaper stories the night before the papers come out

Every piece of information he posts is actually a story in one of the following mornings papers

he gets to read the story the night before we do basically

Hence why he has been able to keep a 100% record

Doesn't mean everything he says happens but the very least it is in the paper the next morning

Check it out for yourselves - when I was told I kept my own eye out and it was true

More often than not the story is in the Daily Mail the following morning - but sometimes it is in other papers

So Capello is certainly in the know as long as you trust the papers and journalists he himself is taking the info from

Don't really want to get into whether OTT is better than Capello & vice versa. Both seem to be reliable sources of info and most of us are grateful for that without being to inquisitive.

What I would ask OTT is how would he feel about being exposed for who he is? Would his sources soon dry up?

Never mind time to forget Shorey.........I have a feeling it's time to forget anybody. I predict we will sign nobody before the end of August and that we will lose Wilson and Cohen.

I'm not normally a pessimist, and I don't have inside info, but this all looks eerily like the post-Hart situation (as somebody else has already stated).

I hope I'm wrong.

Just been chatting to my mate who is close friends with Shorey. Been tyring to get info out of him, but he didn't let on much! He reckons that Shorey's all about a move to West Ham.

Apparently his mrs is a big West ham fan, and being a London boy with a London wife that's where he wants to be.

I was pushing to see if he knew whether West Ham had but a bid in, and he was a bit cagey, so don't know if they have or not. Apparently Shorey's dad is/was a scout for West Ham, not sure if that has any bearing on anything, though.

He said he did love it here, though, and apparently a move back isn't out of the question but given his age he wants a good contract 'near to home'.

He also said he hated O'Neill and Ashley Young, and reckons Milner will leave.

Not exactly Capello/OTT level info, but it's all I could find out!

To be honest, if it was the difference between getting £20k a week or getting £5k a week, I'd hold out till the last minute too. (Especially if I had the option of staying where I was and earning £30k a week for another two years.)

I guess if you are Nicky Shorey, at his age, I guess he's just trying to get one big last contract to set himself up his "pension fund".

If he can get PL wages from West Ham (even if he ends up warming the bench) for a couple of seasons, that will be enough to cover him when he finishes playing.

It's a pity, as he would significantly have improved the team, but if he's holding out for West Ham, then let's move on to someone else.

He's a professsional footballer. He gets paid for playing football. It's his living. He'll have half an eye on he end of his career and will be wanting the biggest pay packet he can get.

Do you really blame him? If you could get 2 job offers on the table - One on three times the salary of the other - closer to home and family too, which one would you take?

Whilst I agree that we should be looking to other targets now - we should monitor the situation - because even if we get someone else, if Shorey came free, we should get him in as well if we possibly can.

To be fair, he's a class act, and if made available I don't imagine it would be dofficult for him to get a move to another Prem club.

It's a shame, as I honestly think he would have a significantly bigger impact on the team than signing Pratley and Whittingham.
