My best mate is a Derby fan. He has a spare ticket in the Derby end. Would you? Could you?

I did it in 1999 when we lost 1-0. Was not much fun and was sickening when they scored their winner to be surrounded by hordes of cheering sheep.

However tomorrow we are likely to win and it is better to be there and witness it in the wrong end than listen to the radio. So I would go for it mate.

I would, but I would get thrown out. No question.

Why go somewhere with the explicit intention of not enjoying it?

No dilema. Go, if you have to cheer for the reds, do so and get thrown out. If its not up to scratch, leave.

Best mate? Derby fan?!

Haha, yes believe it or not.

Its not the person you face-argued with. He is some cretin from my high school. :-*

Just do it. You won't regret it.
I did it c.1991. Saw us win 2-1. Graham Taylor was there to watch Mark Wright (apparently), who played like an absolute dog. Went with a Leicester fan, who was cheering the reds on too...
We very much enjoyed our covert operation.
It was worth it, just to listen to the chuntering, muttering natives.

I'm only joking, Jonny, I have a few Derby fans I'd rank as good friends :)

Isn't there a way you could sneak into the Forest section?

1. I think the security staff might be geared up to try to prevent people moving from the home to away section and vice versa :p

2. Jonny is a verified celebrity and can't sneak anywhere!

If both you and your friend are capable of exercising tolerance to each other then it can be done.

You must also be tolerant of the Derby fans around you - if anything, for your friend. If Forest take the lead, don't start teasing your friend - save that for after the match when both of you are well away from the stadium.

I've sat on the wrong side before and it is tricky but it can be done.

Liam (Gamble from here) sat in the home end for the 0-0 when Johnson had a goal wrongly disallowed with his dad.

When Harewood missed a sitter at the death; some sheep fan called him "f***ing shit", to which Liam's das turned around and said "Shut the f*** up, he's better than any of your shite!" lol
