Three players available?

I was told last night that Forest have circulated a list to all other clubs and agents (it came from an agent) of three players who are available for transfer.

Garner
McGugan
Adebola

I presume this was done before Adebola's problem.

I'm sure the list will not shock anyone, but can any of you guys with contacts confirm if it's authentic?

Really don't want to see Garner go, if we do let him go I can see us regretting it big time in the future.

Definitely get rid of Adebola and McGugan, but I’d change Garner for McCleary :cheers:

I don't wanna lose McGugan, yeah he sometimes seems too lazy to play. But when he's playing, he's f***ing playing! Scores some great goals like Donny, Cardiff, Preston etc.. He's still only young, he's a little naive but he's still learning and still progressing as a footballer.

Likewise to Garner, he's young, scores great goals like Southampton (home & away), Scunny etc.. Seems too underrated by Billy, Billy treats him as his 6th best striker behind Earnie, Blacky, Addy, Dave & Tys but I think Garner is our 3rd best stiker atm.

As for Dele, I think it was a mistake signing him, I know it was a free transfer but still.. What has he done at his time here?: Not alot. He misses easy chances, doesn't score and he spends more time lying down then on his feet. So everything you want in a striker, Addy doesn't have.

Keep McGugan (maybe send out on a loan to top L1 clubs)
Keep Garner (use him as 3rd choice striker)
Release/sell Adebola (Too old and not good enough)

Wouldnt like to see Garner leave.
Dele can easily be improved on.

I love the way everyone thinks Adebola is shit now....when I was saying it at the start of last season everyone was on the whole he does a job tip

Adebola should be fine to leave, not done alot, old, I would even go as far too say lazy. McGugan can improve as long as he gets his work ethic right. As for Garner, I think everyone knows he should stay now.

A year ago we had JUST avoided relegation and Adebola was a decent signing to bulk out the squad and give us something different.

Now we are a club challenging at the top and our aspirations are much higher. Adebola is another year older and we now aspire to something better than he can provide.

He did a decent job for us last year and was more than worth his place in the squad last season given that he cost us no signing on fee.

Perhaps I would let Adebola leave but wouldn't like to see Garner or Mcgugan leave Forest permantley so I would probably loan Mcgugan out to proove his talent and loose some weight. Also Garner can't really leave because Adebola and McGoldrick are both out injured so if Garner left it would only leave us with Earnie and Blackstock.

I hope mcgugan goes.

For someone with so much talent, he lacks anything even vaguely approaching a work rate. He usually looks like more of a hinderance when hes on the field. The amount of times you see forest go forward...but mcgugan just stands still in the centre of the field.

Hopefully, he'll go and move to a side where he can really come on and make good on that talent. I dont think it will happen at forest, and cant see him ever displacing the likes of raddy.

None are good enough for a top championship team. We would make a huge loss on garner but he was a mistake of a previous manager.

How can you say that?

Garner hasn't had the game time to make a full judgement on him - but what he has played in his natural position has yielded goals. What more can you ask of a forward?

10 goals in 51 games...........yeah I know he played half a dozen in midfield but we're hardly setting the world on fire here. The claims of he scores when he plays is a myth on the back of a handful of decent games. He also has more yellow cards than goals for us.........I suspect the club are growing faster than he can.

One of the posters on SaintsWeb say we're going to sign Nathan Tyson, sounds like bollocks but anyone up this end heard anything?

Most of those games were in the season before last & were on the back of recovering from a serious injury whilst in a poor team.

Dexter has scored 16 in the same number of games as Garner. Considering Dex was almost an ever present last season & always played as a forward - he's hardly streaks ahead is he?

My auntie, who lives in Lymington, saw him in the local Waitrose - he's bought a house in the New Forest. So yes, he's going. :yes:

Yeah just over 50% more.........that's not a noticeable figure, sigh.

I also don't overly rate dex but he's comfortably better than garner
