Nottingham Forest midfielder Matt Thornhill has joined League Two outfit Cheltenham Town on a month's loan.

It represents his second spell away from The City Ground this season, the 21 year old having made eight appearances for Brighton.

Thornhill has made 44 first team appearances for The Reds but has not figured in Billy Davies' plans this season.

He's poised to make his debut for Cheltenham in their home game against Rochdale on Saturday.

I got an official text, so that's the only reason I knew!

Thornhill will walk it in League Two.

Probably a last chance for Thornhill to show Billy what he's got after his disastorous Seagulls loan. If he doesn't tear League One a new arsehole then he'll be flogged/released.

I agree. I liked him when he played, but he needs to improve if he's gonna get into our team now.
