Seargant Reddog

First Team Squad
this has been discussed and anyone who frequents the forum has to see there was a majority for sam to carry on the matchday thread as this was a cup game ..... can we really tempt fate

Maribbom please join in the debate please ....

Your spelling of "Seargant" - is that a superstitious thing too ?

Onions.

I think you'll find all food-related threads need to go in the transfers forum :p

OK I retract the Onions and go for Geoff Hurst in the 1966 World Cup Final...

I think I need yet another word with 'Sir' Flagman, then lol

You'll note it's 'Sir' in inverted commas. Not proper Sir yet!

I have to get on my knees in front of TBT to change that......

If the vote for Sam goes through then there should be no instance in the future when the regulars go up in arms when someone new creates the match thread even if past result wasn't a loss.

I find the whole match day etiquette a bit silly but will observe if it if the forum wishes it that way. I do however find the reactions to the situation above ridiculous, especially if the overseers of such things quite happily bend the rules to what they wish.

to be honest i dont give a rats ass who starts match day threads ,but as being a newish member to the forum i to abide by the etiquette of the forum.

as i said can we tempt fate???? its a difficult situation ...rules have not been totally set out and sensibility has to rise hence the poll ,,in no way was it meant to cause a frakaaa........

att the end of the day to me were still Unbeaten Awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

The only reason, I started the thread is because I saw on Sam's facebook, "Samuel Dizzee Rowley matchthread starter record is now well and truely over. i am very sad."

However, as the vote seems evident to keep Sam in, delete my thread to keep the superstition going. I know people think it's weird, but I kept a beard for 107 days, but people respected that.

Last time I started a thread, this very same thing happened. So Flagman, Alex, StuC, whoever is out there may as well go and delete it now.

Sorry for the dip in Forest's form I have caused.

Jamie - did you delete that thread yourself? Just curious as there were replies in it.?

Yeah I did. I couldn't really be bothered with all the stuff surrounding the superstitions, so I just deleted and let everyone have their own way.

Just hope Billy doesn't find out that I started the thread, or knows that I have started to shave my beard off.

It's aways been different people for cup games, hasn't it?

If memory serves, Flagman did the league cup ones this season.

Possibly last season. I only started the thread, as Sam did state on facebook that it was the end of his reign of being match thread starter. Thus assuming, I could take hold of the ship and see how long I could guide us for. But this evidently isn't the case proving why I followed others values on the match day threads, subsequently deleting it.

As much as I would like to keep going, it is only fair that Mr. Marriot starts the thread, I didn't know when I started the thread that another person usually does the cup games but I carried it on without letting someone else do it. It is only fair for me to pass on the mantle.

I will be back (hopefully not, but we'll see!)

Is this why the Reading matchday thread has gone missing?? ::)

Come on guys get a grip!

I think you should carry on doing the thread...We are still unbeaten in the league, and unbeaten away in the league, it was only the FA Cup and I think your a lucky charm! :)
