This season has been a success - yes/no?

OK - we've managed to stay up, with a game to spare.

Personally, I would have taken 20th place at the start of this season, the objective was to stay in the Championship, and we've done just that.

We've learned that the Champ is much tougher league than the one we left three years earlier, but we've managed to stay up, albeit with some recent loan additions to the squad.

So, has this season been a success? I think so; what does everyone else think?

Well, we did what we needed to do...so on the whole, yes.

Not a great success by any means but it was essential we didn't get relegated.

Very successful!

I thought we'd struggle all season. Improve the squad and finish Mid-table for us next season is our next aim.

Yes ... we have managed the main priority - staying in the Championship, all our players have a years experience of the league, those who aren't good enough have been highlighted, we have a manager who has the self-belief and ability to take us onwards and upwards

and we've beaten the richest team in the world :D

Yes. This was a very very important season for Nottingham Forest Football Club and we have survived it. Onwards and upwards now.

Yes, I said at the outset if we stayed up, it would be a success. In fact, the second half of the season has not been bad at all, more like midtable form.

Success of course, i expected nothing more than a relegation battle, which we've overcome, i expect a mid-table finish next season, nothing more, nothing less.

Good things come to those who wait! :)

The target was not to drop back into the abyss. A more comfortable end to the season would have been nice but staying up will allow us to retain our good players and improve the squad for next season.
So by that measure I would call it a success.

How do you measure success?

We have not been promoted so no.

We have not been relegated so yes.

I measure our success as the achievement of our main objective.......survival. So, yes this season has been a success. ;D

Staying up was always my criteria for a successful season. A pity in a way that we had to lose a manager to do it but we can move on to a brighter future.

Well done to all at the club for a magnificent effort in the last couple of months.

The biggest success for me is that we're in a better position to start next season than we were this. Although it was pretty dire scraping up with Calderwood wouldn't have been as good as the management change has been. If we work swiftly to secure the services of Blackstock and Gunter we can then set about making the one or two extra additions that will mean we don't have to go through this again next season. Happy times ahead.

Relegation I think would have hammered coffin nails in the lid of the body of NFFC, I could not see a way forward out of this one, if we had tumbled through the trap door.

Avoiding relegation was the most vital part of this season, so we have been successful, lets see where the latest adventure is going to lead us all.

Southampton avoided relegation last year and postponed the inevitable because of the pending financial crisis at the club. Forest have remained in the Championship, are in a sound position to move forward, slowly and surely, with a good man at the helm.......The futures as bright tonight for Forest, as it has been for many a long year

I personally thought we'd comfortably stay up this season, whereas alot of others on here said they would be happy with finishing 21st.

By that token, I could view this season as a failure but, as stated, the essential thing was to not go back to the hell hole that is League One!

At this moment in time, I do not care though cos we are staying up!
