The deadline for Season Ticket renewals is fast approaching with existing Season Ticket holders having until 5pm on Saturday 27th June to make sure they guarantee their seat for the 2009/10 season.

With prices having been frozen at last year's price, supporters have snapped up their tickets which have shown a 16% increase on sales from last year.

Hang on:

How can the number of renewals be greater than the number of season tickets sold last year?

Because last year more were sold on general sale so their are more potential renewals this year. I haven't got round to renewing mine yet, will be popping down this week at some point though.

It will be about twenty nine players.

Everyone of them will be Dele Adebola.

We should have gone in for Lee Croft from Norwich.

The renewal rate is 16% up compare to this time last year - that's not that difficult to comprehend :)

I blame poeple like you for Forest's marketing strategy!

If everyone renewed really early or very late (Aug) then there wouldn't be a correlation between a rush of season ticket renewals and the announcement of new signings and we wouldn't have to put up with the shite on this (and other, but mostly this) board :p

No - the article infers number, not rate...

Well yeah, the number of people who have renewed to date is 16% than the number of people who had renewed this time last year :D

Well yes, I guessed that, but that's not what they're implying...

...not that I would ever suggest that Forest would put artificial spin on a number which could in fact be a lower percentage than last year's renewal RATE at this point... :nowink:

It's Baggio

It's to be expected though.

Last year there were about 11,000 people renewing.

This year there's about 14,000.

oh yes, by using the absolute numbers they are of course presenting a favourable number.

Working as I do in the corporate world of such things, it's not exactly an uncommon practice! lol

Where's Capello? He can put an end to this nonsense with one or two words.
