We used to go up those steps onto Lady Bay Bridge after matches - I remember it was always a long wait to get onto it in the glory years. I also remember the single-word graffito ‘Wrexham’ taunting us on the brickwork there after they upset us in the cup in 1982 - is that still there?

The 2 cars parked on Trentside near where the bagpiper performs were there before the game and 2 stewards were guiding people around them. After the game, there was also a car parked in the middle of the road where it rises up to TB. It's very concerning that these vehicles even had access to Trentside given the signs about 'event day restrictions.' Slow egress is bad enough, but hindering a potential emergency evacuation is very serious.
Who is responsible for managing this right of way on match days?

It's not Forest property though, just a public right of way so presumably down to the council / police to enforce restrictions.
If it's having an effect on matchday safety, it would still come under his remit - even if he needed to report it to another party to enforce.

It was very congested leaving the LBC onto Lady Bay Bridge too.
The increased capacity will need exit planning as well as the car parking provision.
Thankfully the away fans were not allowed out the same was, or at least not until after the home fans had made their way out.
As for traffic chaos: why are buses still routed down Trent Boulevard on match days?
And the exit of cars from the rugby club parking coupled with a a stream of vehicles heading up Trent boulevard to the traffic lights, and the reluctance of many drivers to allow merge in turn for joiners meant that the whole junction was log-jammed.
Still, no cars could get down Trent Boulevard becaus a bus was caught up in it all, so even by the time we got back to our car, parked down the Adbolton end of the boulevard the road was still quite empty, and we had the easiest exit from there I can remember for some time.
Agreed took ages to get up the steps onto the bridge. Needs way better lighting as well, one of the old boys had tripped and was being helped out at the top of the steps.
The new bridge will make a difference when that opens next year.

The club also allocated a large amount of money to that bridge in the section whatever of the planning permission.

I am guessing it will include better stairs, lighting or whatever else because I can't see what else you could change to that bridge.

An easy improvement would be a windy walk way (that can be used by wheelchair & bikes) in that bit of grass inbetween the current stairs & the river. There is plenty of room for it.

would they get blown into the river by the breeze?

It was Colin. "Aussie white wine" was how it was more commonly known, and it was a f*cking lethal brew. The first time I got pissed on it was the last.

As for Yates' Wine Lodge itself, it could be like a wild west saloon bar on a Friday and Saturday night in the sixties when I first started going in - all whilst a Victorian Palm Court trio carried on playing classical tunes at the entrance to the balcony upstairs. It also had a steak restaurant in the basement, The Talbot, at that time, and which was actually pretty good.
The collection of elderly ladies were known as “The Talbot Trio”, although I’ve seen them play as a quartet and, albeit rarely , a quintet.

I am guessing container corner bumped that up, it looked fairly full
A couple of Utd fans in there. Cheering and jumping around when they scored.

Utd fan in one of the exec boxes too. He was giving it the big 'un when they were winning.

The club really need to look at who they let in to these corporate spaces.

The club should… but I wonder if the greater sums of money from the hospitality sector is higher on the priority list…? 🤔

And in 2 adjacent posts, the age old football problem of violence and fan segregation has been answered

"We don't give a shit as long as we've taken lots of money off them first"

I am not sure how you can vet it.

All you can do is throw them out when they are in there.

Couple of boring stories spring to mind. One was a cricket at Chelmsford. Whilst I was flying, one of my great friends was carrying on a romance with a Zimbabwean cricketer (Kevin Curran) who at the time was playing for Northants. I arranged to meet her and we sat enjoying a glass or two whilst fiance toiled out in the field. Next to the away friends and family tent was a hospitality area and a local type (presumably) was getting well plastered and shouting stuff at the players on the field. At last, the club acted a wrestled this character out of the area.

The other occasion I have mentioned before, when I lived in a village near Ipswich and the local publican and I were sat in a hospitality seat at Portman Road kindly provided by Greene King. Within a few minutes Britt Assombalonga had scored our first goal, at which we uproariously cheered . The locals took umbrage and we were escorted out to the Forest fan section just in time to see Britt score a second.

Two things:

Cars parked where they shouldn't be. Seems ridiculous that they were not removed. That is the route into the ground for emergency vehicles (access between PT and TE). that must be kept clear. Also, the surface is badly potholed and it's only a matter of time before someone tumbles and gets hurt. I'd like to hear an explanation as to 9a) why the cars were allowed in; (b) why they were not removed; and 9c) anything to do with rowing?

Visiting fans in hospitality. It shouldn't be a case of throw them out, they've paid their money after all. What matters is how they behave surely? Loud, aggressive, confrontational ... leave the stadium and don't come back. Loud, humorous, having banter ... not a problem in my book.

I gather that the Boardroom at Selhurst Park was decidedly loud, aggressive and confrontational back in August!

Two levels of the corner are sold by Seat Unique not by Forest, it's the only corporate seats that can be purchased without having to have some form of Forest membership. Make sit easy for any supporter to buy tickets in there.

I mean, the Terms and Conditions for tickets are pretty clear:-
Home Match Tickets and Season Cards are for use of supporters of Nottingham Forest FC only. By applying for these and/or using the same, a supporter warrants and represents that they are a supporter of Nottingham Forest FC and, in particular, that they are not supporters of the opposing team at any given Match. Any Ticket Holder who breaches this warranty and representation is liable to be ejected from the Ground with no refund or other compensation.

They are clear and it's a shame that out has to be that way isn't it. Generally, and across the country, if you behave yourself and don't set out to annoy or provoke other people, you'll be fine. That's my point ... don't be an arsehole.

I'd suggest, in order to not breach the terms - if you're in with the Home fans, absolutely do not let in be known that you're not a home fan.
