What's your thought
Are we talking about Forest or Man City Here?Do you think the redevelopment goes ahead if we're relegated?
There's no "N" in that ... as senior officers used to say!Not to mention the extremely unhelpful Cllr Kay Cutts at County Hall at the time.
Sorry to be pedantic, but aren't those figures over a period of two weeks?Sheffield attracts about 50k football fans a week in the lower divisions. Everton plus Liverpool is over 100k matchgoing fans in Liverpool.
Elevator music. I would want far more than 150 quid to sit through that guff.Or Andre Rieux.
My Mrs was given tickets for his recent Motorpoint Gig... £150 ticket as well!
3 175ml glasses of wine and one soft drink for the driver... have a guess how much
It's ambitious, and it's pretty. The "high level" bridge idea would make a huge difference, but .....Credit @nottsideaslab / Matthew Dreweitt on X ;
Very interesting idea proposed. Could something like this work?

I'd facetiously suggest, Not Forest's problem...as they're doing their bit by getting folks across the river...Where do the trams go after the WFCG?
Me too.Elevator music. I would want far more than 150 quid to sit through that guff.
Well that dream didnt last long, cheersIt's ambitious, and it's pretty. The "high level" bridge idea would make a huge difference, but .....
Where do the trams go after the WFCG? Out along Radcliffe Rd to a P and R at Gamston? Be useful but a nightmare whilst in build. Turn right along Radcliffe Rd then left at the TBI into WB? Again, it would get good usage but the turns would be tight (and therefore slow) and the disruption in build would be enormous. There's also the issue that the tram line would need to gain elevation before the bridge over the river, which would add significant cost.
The trams would need somewhere to go after the WFCG so that there can be a number waiting to run through to pick up customers ... think Hillsborough. Parking four trams at a terminus at the WFCG doesn't make sense, the cost per journey would be enormous. In any case, I understand that Forest have plans for the Environment Agency building.
I've often thought that a tram running behind the BC stand would be great though, and then I think about the old railway route from LBBridge over Radcliffe Rd and through WB, out to Edwalton. Now that would be a game changer, and not just for Forest. The problem is that a century or more ago WB never wanted a railway, then more recently a Government that I won't mention by name made it extremely difficult to re-use or re-open former railways by selling off bits along the route (ideologically driven, or brown paper bags?), and now the only countries who could possible drive such a thing through would be Russia, China, N Korea and (very possibly, because that's how they are) France.
If only .....
Yeah- I liked those plansWell that dream didnt last long, cheers
Thing is, if the tram extension went at least into WB, ideally further out to the ring road, then it would make sense to fund it. An extension just to the WFCG does not add up, even with 'events' other than football. The task then is to get WB 'tram ready'. LGR will help but age-related anti tram attitudes are very strong south of the river, in streets and homes as well as in County Hall.Yeah- I liked those plans. Shame they were just pie (tram?) in the sky.
Given how crowded it gets now at Midland Station post-match, a tram-stop at the CG would be chaotic immediately after the final-whistle.Thing is, if the tram extension went at least into WB, ideally further out to the ring road, then it would make sense to fund it. Simply stop parking on the Embankment and run shuttle buses down to Embankment tram stop and on to Queens Drive park and ride on match days and use the millions a team extension would cost somewhere far better.Thing is, if the tram extension went at least into WB, ideally further out to the ring road, then it would make sense to fund it. More likely news of a new burger stall outside the boat club. The Supporters Trust have put out a couple of cryptic posts indicating something happening on Thursday this week.. Could be a formal announcement from the club about the development possibly...
1. No idea but bagpipes need banning.I’ve got two questions
1. Who’s the bagpipe man on big match days?
2. Who is the black female dancer I see occasionally at the bottom pavilion rd?

Maybe they've finally come to their senses and decided to cease holding meetings in the NRC and are encouraging the members to stop using it?!More likely news of a new burger stall outside the boat club.
