For Cloughs sake NO.

Not that it will make a blind bit of difference, but we dont want this dour long ball ex sheepshagger in charge.

Id rather have Big Sam or Curbishley. Surely theres better options?

Please add your support here.

Thankyou :)

In leadership, arrogance isn't always a trait.

Big Sam would always be my first choice, but right now, I'd prefer Hitler to manage our team.

I would prefer Davies to Alladyce any day of the week. The ball comes down screaming after belted so hard when his teams play. They have the subtle touch of a blacksmith's hammer.

I really don't want to pay my pennies to watch that type of game again.

Bolton fans and players are used to it, that is why Megson was able to turn things round there last year. Back to a style they were comfortable with.

Heh, a lot of Bolton fans hate Megson. They're sick of his safe tactics and only pushing for a draw (remind you of anyone?). Looks like it's starting to pay off now anyway.

I love this website. He hasn't even got the job yet and already people want him out!!

With a bit of luck, he wont get the chance to be wanted out.

For the record, the only previous one Ive wanted sacking is Kinnear. Im hardly one to be bawling for sackings.

Id rather keep Calderwood than have Davies. I just dont see it as a way forward.

Sign me up. I would consider Boothroyd, Curbs even Keegan but not Davies.

What would make you consider Boothroyd over Davies? Both got their teams promoted relatively quickly and both brought them straight back down.

Dont want Hoofroyd either!

Players dont like him, long ball merchant, no real track record other than a lucky promotion.

I have to weigh in here, simply do not want the guy here. Give me Laws or, yeah, why not Keegan?

I think Davies will be man enough to play Earnie. Between the two I would have Earnie over Davies at the club anyday of the week. I think my only concern was the lack of quality he managed to bring in after the sheep got promoted !

Davies, for me, is second choice behind Allardyce.

It would seem as though that's the case with Doughty too, Allardyce is said to be waiting for a Premiership club.

Davies could be the man to take us up, though. He did it with Derby, why can't he do it here?

Out of interest. Davies signed Earnshaw, Jewell sold him.

We should try and break the bank for Allardyce. I think he will be worth every penny ! Let him bring his own people in (it's worked for him in the past) and give him a good fee for January !
I don't think there are many clubs out there with a good financial backing and promise (youth academy etc)

I would of thought that taking a former European winning club back to the premiership would be one hell of a challenge for someone !

Davies openly admitted to it being a mistake to buy him, though, and subsequently refused to play him.

Indeed, it does question how the club has been sold to him. I doubt he'd be up for ending his career avoiding relegation to division 3.

He'd probably enjoy getting and maintaining Premiership status, though.

Davies is clearly a competent, if tactically limited, coach. He seems to be good motivator, and incompetent managers do not get sides into the play-offs three years running

That IS Calderwood.

After having read that article, I get the feeling that the Derby fans would love this appointment as much as we would love David Platt to manage there.

Can we make sure Colin is axed before savaging his rumoured replacement?
