Just wondering if people would like to see them make it to the Championship?

Don't get me wrong here, I have some time for the club, and look out for their results. But, have you noticed just how much their fans hate us and love to stick the knife in?

I get more shit at work by far, from the Notts fans than the Derby ones. The other night at the pub quiz, the landlord slated Forest loads over the PA to loud cheers from "Maggies" all round the pub. I could think of other examples ... they f**king hate us.

I'm thinking, are we missing a potentially huge fixture because Notts are too s**t to make the Championship? I know in Sheffield, Utd vs Wednesday is a big thing.

On the other hand, its easy ammo to shout them down with, them constantly teetering on the brink of the Conference :)

I currently view them as largely an irrelevance, that would obviously shift considerably if they were in the same league as us.

Season before last, I made the trip down with the Posh fans to see them play at Notts County. It's kind of sad seeing there stadium about 3/4s empty, when they were playing one of the best sides in league 2.

Although it was great entertainment seeing a couple of their chav follows get kicked out, to a rousing rendition of 'Tracksuit from Matalan' from the away support.

What was the question again?

I used to enjoy the banter when they were a decent club.

However the days of Gary McSwegan, Tommy Johnson, Andy Legg et al. are long gone, never to return I fear.

I'd love to see both Forest and County in the Championship, or even better the Premiership. Sadly, I don't think it's going to happen any time soon, but it's great that we have two league teams in Nottingham and I wish them all the best in the immediate future.

Every year I get a f**king "Happy Sir Charlie Palmer Day" text from one of the few saddos that still follow them.

I wouldn't give a s**t if they went bust and disappeared.  I actually dislike them more than Derby.

I have helped to clean them out a few pie quizes though.  Useless f**kers.

It was yesterday wasn't it? (Sir Charlie Palmer day)

Celebrating such a thing (15 years later!!) isn't worthy of hatred, just pity!

Yes it was yesterday, I should have realised when he emailed me to get my mobile number.

I went to the pre-season friendly at their place, and it was pretty dire. The stands are crap and the home fans were rubbish. No atmosphere at all. Imagine if someone like Cardiff went there, half the sadpies would leave at half time incase of trouble.

Sooner they go bust and Meadow Lane is paved over for use as car park for Forest fans the better

Meadow Lane is full of tits anyway.

Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

If they lost a home game 3-0 and it came over the tannoy that Forest had lost, they would go home happy.

They are like annoying little brothers, and they are not worth bothering about.

The joke which is opening up their Kop end for home supports made me laugh. I bet they could fit their entire home attendance in to that one stand :D

The ground is too big for a fan base like theirs, which is a shame to be honest. Meadow Lane used to be one of the best grounds outside the Premier League (Probably still is if compared to some!).

But yes, it would be good for Nottinghamshire on a whole if we were both in the Championship.
