The SkyBet Championship

Have to disagree - the player was clean through 1 on 1 with keeper and the defender was a total idiot with two hands over the attacker and pulled him over. I don't see an issue with the red card - yes it killed the game but that is not the refs fault, that is the moron defenders fault.

Yup excellent decision. He kicks the ball after Moore goes down. I'm not sure why the defender doesn't stay to the left side of Moore and slide in so it at least looks like an attempt for the ball, then he'd probably get away with a penalty/yellow.

Completely f**ked his team over doing that.

Feels like there’s 2 options. 1 - as you mention, spend big and then accept the points deduction. 2 - buy literally no-one, bank the money and go down. Then get promoted again and give it a proper go with more money.

Doing the middle way where you spend £80m-£100m on a load of average players isn’t likely to achieve much other than an unsustainable wage bill in the Champo.
I think spending a bare minimum of £100m+ as a promoted team is an obligation now. Whether you actually compete or not will depend on whether you spend that money wisely or not.

Luton have become a terrible example of keep the money in your pocket. No good spending big on infrastructure when you are in League One with nobody in your squad worth anything.

I genuinely hate Andy Hinchliffe, he could commentate on prime Messi & spend all game picking holes in his game

Ruins every single game
Promising attack peters out: attacking team has to do better there. It was easy to score.
Promising attack results in goal/near miss: defending team has to do better there. It was easy to stop that.

Total dullard.

I'm torn on my preference. Let's say one of Coventry or Sunderland went up (screw you Blunts ) Sunderland have the potential to make a better fight of it, given their stadium, fanbase etc and Cov could potentially be the new Southampton whipping boys.

On the other hand it would be nice for Cov to get up given the shite they've been through in recent years.

They'll both struggle big time handicapped by the PSR bollox and not having a squad anywhere near Premier league quality.

Promoted teams should get additional allowable losses in the first year they come up, not less. It will never get voted through though, especially now that a few clubs this year have been down there. Had those promoted clubs had any sort of additional quality they would have been bang in trouble.

Great win for Sunderland

Wes Morgan moment for the Coventry player! Playoffs do funny things!

Imagine Anel and Robinson as their first choice CB in the PL and Kieffer Moore up front.

Bristol City needed to score in that opening 15 mins where they were pressing and had all the play, soon as Sheff U got back into the game and then scored it was over.
