Would relegation be easier to deal with if it meant a change in structure at the CG ?

I see where you're coming from but we cannot and must not go down.

Another 3 seasons in that league would kill this football club.

Disclaimer: I know it wouldn't necessarily be 3 seasons but I just couldn't see us geting promoted at the first time of asking.

i dont want relegation, but i have to say i wont be SURPRISED if it happens, and if that led to major change then so be it, under BD hopefully i do think he's the man

It would only work if the club went down and then realised that changes had to be made.

However, like many others, I cannot see this happening. If you look at the season so far (granted, nearly at the end of it) we look as though we were woefully un-prepared for a Championship campaign. Regardless of "who is to blame" unless major change happens in the way the club is run, I can only, sadly, see us repeating this same cycle of "boom and bust".

This poll suffers from needless-use-of-French-pretentious-itis, I'm boycotting it.

The whole thought of relegation to League One, Depresses me!
It took us 3 years to get out of it, had the Promotion day, all the fans happy and now we're in the bottom three... We don't want them celebrations to be a waste!

Going down might be better for the club in the long run, restructuring and the like, but it would take longer and I don't like that fact!

Thing is, though, if we went down, I don't think we'd come back up.

I don't think so either. At least, not in the same way we did this time, where we spent money and still had the idea of being halfway competitive in the league. Obviously it hasn't turned out that way, but there's no denying we have spent money this season.

Going down to the third tier again would be the single greatest blow this football club has ever taken, much worse than the first time, and even worse than when Scholar, Markham and Wray did untold damage.

Honestly, if we were in League One next season, I think massive changes would take place at the club. Doughty would either have to find a way of leaving or dramatically reduce his ties with the club, and a lot of the things we've come to expect would alter. None of this would be for the positive.

Definition of insanity...doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.

Unfortunately for us, the powers that be are, on that basis, clearly insane.

Massive changes needed no matter what division we find ourselves in (L1 I believe) however, I cannot see it happening.

I have actually questioned whether administration a few years ago would have been preferable - mute point though as we will never know.

No wonder my post count..
I think we'll bounce right back up, no doubt about it.

Before anything starts again I'm not attcking you or anyone else just intrigued. How do you think administration would have helped?

A major rethink of how the club is run will occur either way I reckon anyway with Billy in. Got nothing else to add, obviously would much prefer it if we were in this division next season of course ::)

I didnt say it difinitively helped, just pondered the thought...

The ND era has been an unmitigated disaster for Nottingham Forest FC.

Administration would have altered the couse of history. Would that history be worse than the one we have lived? Would we be on the verge of a 4th season in the 3rd tier of English football out of the last 5?

I doubt it.

Anyway its all hypothetical...

At the risk of boring the whole world to death......... this club has been run by a bunch of amateurs for far too long. How many of the 'real' hierarchy at the club have a clue about football? What is their game-plan? How will they finance it? I am beginning to despair. Other clubs in a far worse financial situation than us and with a smaller fan base are making us look stupid eg any no. of clubs in this division and a fair no. in the Prem. We need to import some know-how!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
