The Relegation Dogfight 25/26

Just need to break the habit of this season and make the most of opportunities to pull clear when they're presented to us.

I cannot think of a better setting in football for today's match than the world famous city ground...home fans creating a cauldron for our Garibaldi men to start pulling teams into the dogfight of relegation whilst pulling themselves well away from it while continuing this winning streak.... Thursdays result and effort will be more important than we realise come the final whistle... winning breeds winning... YOU REDS

I know this is "if if if" but a win today moves us to 6 points off 7th. Bearing in mind we'd be 8 points away from relegation spot, would that mean that we are in the race for mid table mediocrity more than in the relegation dogfight.
With the exception of the top 3 and bottom 3, the table is pretty compact this season. A 7 goal 'swing' is required today to get us above Palace, although, I'd quite happily take a 1-0..

Mavrapanos could be in trouble, the highlights don’t really catch it but I’m pretty sure I saw him give Palmer a little girly slap, then as it was dying down he took Joao Pedro for a long stroll towards the West Ham fans by the throat (poor owd Joao Pedro was still frozen solid by the vision of Traore coming for him).

The best bit of all that was Traore slinging Cucuracha off the pitch like a bin bag.
I didn't think you could give a retrospective red after var had been involved. They can set a long ban on a red already given though. That'll be at least 3 games, possibly more.

7 goal swing sounds more dramatic than it is - any win by 4 goals takes us above them.

At it again today on talk sport. One pundit gave West Ham the performance of the week.

Seriously? They lost, you know if it was Forest, potentially 8 points adrift from safety, off field issues, and just collapsed like that in a game they’d be ladling it on thick, not being overly positive.

I'm pretty certain that 40 points will do the trick. That's a point per game from here. 4 points from our next to would be good.

A very solid weekend all in all. 4 points from the next 2 would have us in very good shape. We need the lads to be up for the fight again Friday, feel Leeds will be going all out for the 3 points
Agree, was going to post the same, get 4 points from the next 2 game would be a good outcome prior to the EL games either side of the scousers.

Yep, this week can be counted as a success.

Just got the keep chipping away & extending our lead.

We could have won today but if West Ham did too we would have been worse off.

I would take a draw at Leeds if we beat Wolves, West Ham won't be able to keep pace with that.
