The "My nerves have just kicked in" thread

Just dawned on me what is at stake over the coming days.

God I haven't felt this nervous since Yeovil at home the day we got Promoted from League One.

Post here when the nerves finally hit you.

Kick-off in roughly 2 days from now...

Right now mate.

I'm absolutely bricking it to the point of not being able to concentrate fully on work.

Work this week for me has been basically trawling the different forums of Blackpool and Forest to gauge opinions etc.

When it's all over we have The World Cup to stress about although it won't compare to my emotions I will experience over the next few weeks (hopefully!)

I've been excited the last two days at the prospect of going up, but it's turning into nerves the closer the game gets!

Bloody strange for me because for some reason a couple of months ago I got a real strong feeling were gonna beat Cardiff 1.0 in the final, I still believe that.

I had the same calmness when we beat Yeovil on the final day to nick 2nd, I just knew we'd pip Doncaster and it was to be our day.

I really think we're going up boys and girls UUUUUUU RRRRRREEEEEDDDDDDDSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I'm absolutely parping it.

My big fear is that we'll be out of it before the Tuesday game.

A draw on Saturday and I'll be a mess till Tuesday.

Not too worried.

We've had a brilliant season, far exceeding expectation and anything we do now is a bonus to what we've already achieved.

Staying in this league for another year wouldn't be the same disaster and hopelessness felt after losing to Yeovil. We needed to get out of that League, desperately. Time is on our hands now.

That said, let's go up please!

Pretty much sums up what I am feeling too

Weirdly, I'm finding myself struggling to give too much of a toss though my enthusiasm for football in general has been in decline for the past few months.

Perhaps it'll come back in time for the playoffs at least to some extent but...I don't know.

I'm absolutely bricking it!!!

The nerves really started to kick in yesterday. I just fear that with our poor away form, the state of their pitch etc we could be out of it before we get to the 2nd leg on Tuesday!! :(.

Then again i'm trying to stay positive, after witnessing what is the best season from a Forest side in many years, playing absolutely fantastic football, and ripping teams apart. The only problem I have is that our previous play-off games still haunt me!

Every time I think positive, my mind creeps back to those moments of Des's own goal at BL & Arron Davies tearing us to bits on our own patch :(.

I do think we have a great chance.....IF we turn up and play how we all know they can, over the two legs!

COME ON FOREST!!! YOUUUUU REEDDDDDSSSSSS!!!!

I'm pretty calm at the minute, I usually am days before matches.

Come saturday noon I will have chewed my fingers down to the knuckle and worn a groove into the living room floor from pacing though.

Remembered on Tuesday that I hate the play-offs and am now wondering why I've decided to put myself through it all again!

This time next week we will know whether we'll be going to Wembley and, if so, who we'll be playing! Eeeeeeek

:frantic:

This is also how I feel.

It's weird - it would be massive for us to go up but at the same time it wouldn't be a disaster if we stayed in the CCC. Kind of nice situation to be in really ;)
